Every now and then, I find the time to put pen to (proverbial) paper. I've written an article on how we're tackling the challenges of the #metaverse here: linkedin.com/pulse/5-steps-b… #virtualworlds #crypto #web3 #AI

For anyone that has ever used @canva do you not find it's the most confusing access/control UI ever? I have team's that build UI/UX for fun and as I user it's difficult to tell my head from my a** most of the time.

Disagree with this take entirely. As AI becomes more prevalent, people will crave more human connection and therefore human creators will become even more valuable and prominent.
"Content creators" as we know them, will not exist in the coming years Nobody will be YouTubers, influencers, etc Why? Because there will be AI-generated content creators that are 1000x more entertaining, engaging, knowledgeable, etc These AI creators won't be operated by individuals. They'll be operated by quant-like firms that ingest enormous amounts of audience data, continuously optimizing every aspect of their content based on real-time engagement metrics Every video, joke, opinion, every interaction will be engineered to maximize audience attention Especially now that algos rule everything by serving you content they think you will like Human content creators will still exist but it will be akin to me day trading on Robinhood vs a team of 1,000 quants at Jane Street

Yet no SEA languages like Japanese/Korean? 😬
Proud to announce that students in England will be able to study Ukrainian at GCSE. It’s a chance for pupils to explore Ukraine’s rich culture and history and, for the Ukrainian community to remain connected to their heritage. This is another step in our enduring support for Ukraine as part of the 100 Year Partnership 🇺🇦🇬🇧

Most flippant comment ever blows up🤷‍♂️
Replying to @ukhomeoffice
A-level standard English? I'd suggest 99% of employees at The Home Office couldn't pass A-level English Language and Literature. I say this as an ex-English teacher 😂

Aston Villa will initiate legal action against Jamie Carragher for his unacceptable insults about the Club and its fans. Aston Villa will not allow anyone to stop our ascension in English and European football. Nassef Sawiris, Chairman

If you’re in crypto and you're not p🤬ssed off about @binance's $6.3B hack, you should be! “Funds are safu” isn’t good enough. I examine the breach, the @aave issues and the accountability users deserve👇 youtube.com/watch?v=y7uDNFqP…

I just don't understand 😅 As a UK user I can't drop 20$ into some T3 CEX without being hit with 1000 KYC datapoints But some anon Eth address can borrow hundreds of millions in Eth permissionlessly... Wtf is our industry doing
apparently the binance hacker had all his money frozen but he did a genius move so instead of having his funds stucked he used the stolen money to borrow ETH on aave and now Aave is the one stucked with frozen funds jesus the north koreans are really good at this sht

Unpopular opinion but does seem to be the case
Look at the contrast: Binance loses billions: - Coinbase manually blocks addresses - Tether and Circle freeze billions in 60 minutes - Ripple and World Liberty coordinate in group chats - Executives hug it out on X A normal user loses $50k to an approval scam: - "Blockchain transactions are irreversible, anon" - "Code is law" - "Have you considered reading the contract bytecode?" - Zero help from stablecoin issuers Decentralization for the peasants, emergency bailouts and centralized freezes for the tier-1 cartel. There are two crypto industries, and you’re not in the protected one.

If ever there was an advert for self-custody. OMFG.

Is it a good thing that the world's biggest crypto companies can freeze funds? Decentralisation. Debate.

So @Ripple's bank approval is big. But how much actually benefits $XRP holders? 👀 My latest video breaks down the trust bank, RLUSD, real-world payments and the link between adoption and token demand. youtu.be/1e9X9O35hUU #XRP #Ripple

Those who haven't tried 🤦 The answer for 'earning' are player driven economies. Worlds such as @neo_lyfe
Almost right, but you're missing the point. The 'Play-to-Earn' mindset didn't kill these games... bad founders did. You can't raise millions in crypto assets only to leave players fighting sybil bots for pennies while the team cashes out most of that money in salaries and rigged events. In my humble opinion, It’s not the 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿𝘀 wanting to earn that is the problem, but the 𝗱𝗲𝘃𝘀 mismanaging the capital and failing to reinvest in the ecosystem. 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 '𝗣𝟮𝗘' 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮 𝗺𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵. ▫️ Projects raise $10M-$100M+ but offer tiny $10/25k reward pools. ▫️ Founders get greedy, ignore their communities, and cash out. We’ve seen it happen time and time again. And then they blame players for wanting value? 💁‍♂️ Creators and streamers get to "create-to-earn," so why is it an issue for gamers to "play-to-earn"? We need a 60/40 or 70/30 balance: #Web2 style fun paired with seamless #Web3 ownership. If you aren’t willing to share your success with the community that built your hype, why bother with blockchain at all?
