Regrettably, I'm having to cut back on upstream sponsorships since it's been higher than my own sponsorship income for several months now. Thanks to all who still contribute for the ongoing support! 💖
This has grown to 36 authors, all at $1 a month, which is still around 10% of my own sponsorship income. We're an ecosystem of creators and it feels right to give to the authors whose tools and lower-level crates I use.

Or don't risk your literal Apple account getting banned and use fil.one instead.
Apple ships one of the fastest, highest-capacity free object stores in the world and nobody is using it. Inspired by @ironseth_s I found a way to get ~12 TB for $0. Paying $0.023/GB for AWS S3 is a skill issue. Use icloud as s3 as the goat of object stores. 284x faster than r2. Seth, let's add this to your stack!

Yearly PSA: Actix Web does NOT use actors. It has been ~7 years since that was the case.

TIL @HAProxy doesn’t put WebSocket connections in their own pool automatically. You need explicit configuration to accept normal traffic as well if you’re using mTLS.

It is insane to me that there are still devs using terminals to prompt their agents

⚠️ Heads-up, maintainers Hurl repo has been targeted by bad dudes: they create GitHub issues with shell payloads hidden in HTML comments (invisible in the browser). They were hoping our GH actions run command as-it. It didn't work ou our repo! Check your projects (use zizmor)

"integer caching" ... seriously do java devs even hear themselves ?
Java has a weird little trap. Most people miss it on the first try : Integer a = 127, b = 127; Integer x = 128, y = 128; System.out.println(a == b); System.out.println(x == y); Both comparisons look identical. Do they print the same result?

I have been genuinely excited to see this RFC land for years. Glad it finally got across the line.
