I don’t know if it’s just me, but the things I stop overthinking and leave in God’s hands always seem to turn out better than the things I constantly worry about.

The AI age is beginning, and we have a duty to make it as helpful and pro-human as possible for the untold trillions of future generations that come after us.
do not let yourself be reduced to the status of audience at a magic show, uncomprehendingly clapping as machine intelligence creates parcels of astounding knowledge. all of this is for us, to be understood by us, to sate our own curiosities. it's all really happening

>Claude Projects become multiplayer >"Table" becomes a type of Artifact" within the shared multiplayer Claude Project area >"Table" is some kind of scalable database wrapper that seamlessly auto-scales everything >"Run your entire business with Claude!" literally just works

This has to be it!
my biggest unconfirmed conspiracy theory is that when people complain about a model being "nerfed", it’s actually providers using heterogenous hardware (GPUs, TPUs, AMD, Inferentia) which produce varying output qualities. it lines up with nerfing happening shortly after launch or during on-peak when at capacity

The story of how the LOTR movies got made is an under-rated miracle. Peter Jackson was a schlock horror indie dork with 1 serious movie on his resume (Heavenly Creatures) when he pitched the Lord of the Rings trilogy He pulled in insanely talented VFX artists by basically saying "hey, want to work on Lord of the Rings?" He made the trilogy on a comparative shoe-string budget (less than $100 million per movie). He was absolutely terrified of the movies crashing and burning so he kept close to the book (especially for the first movie). He thought "we need the existing fans to come, we have no hope of success without the fans". Everything came together for the LOTR movies, from tech advances to financing to the perfect actors. It was a project of love from the perfect director who was in love with his island home which just so happened to be the best spot on Earth to stand in for Middle Earth. If you believe in miracles, the LOTR movies were a miracle. Every perfect thing came together at the right moment with the right people.
Imagine what they would have done to LOTR movies if they were being made today We got very lucky

One of the most profound things I’ve seen on here. I aspire to be the menu-unlocker pancake-order guy.
“I always get pancakes for the table. Unlocks the whole menu. It’s the best. Everyone who steps into a diner is thinking in their head, ‘should I do pancakes?’ But you don’t wanna just do pancakes, but you’d eat pancakes. So you get the pancakes for the table” -Big Cat

Very few people TRULY care about things. You can make such a massive impact if you pour as much love as possible into your craft!
Now that taste is solved, love is the only moat

Took them a few years but it's here.
How long until Apple releases a “verified genuine photo” feature for iPhone?

I know the OpenClaw / Hermes craze on Twitter has died down, but I've been having a blast making custom dashboards for my home.

Met an executive team recently that had immaculate vibes. Their business is doing large numbers in a challenging industry and you could tell how much they loved working together. It was so refreshing.

The algo/timeline change is a prescient reminder that things can be good. Let's make more good stuff instead of optimized stuff.
