ok so I've been vibe coding a lot lately, mostly just learning and breaking stuff then PHP2Shell dropped yesterday, saw how bad it was and thought "wait, I can actually build something useful for this" so I did. took me like 4h 1/ it's called PHPeek, a tiny browser extension you open a site and the icon tells you if it's running a PHP version exposed to PHP2Shell: ๐Ÿ”ด likely exposed ๐ŸŸข patched ๐ŸŸ  runs PHP but hides the version that's it. one glance 2/ made it fully open source bc a security tool you can't read is kinda sus lol it doesn't send anything anywhere, no tracking, no data. just reads headers your browser already has. <200 lines, go read them github.com/phpeek-ext/phpeek 3/ submitted to Firefox + Chrome Web Store tonight, both in review rn ๐Ÿคž not gonna pretend I'm some security expert, I just thought this was useful and wanted to ship it instead of sitting on it feedback, bugs, roasts all welcome ๐Ÿซก
Call me paranoid, but be extra careful visiting ANY web site in the next few days, as some web admins are not always up-to-date with security patches. Two vulnerabilities (CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619) reported for PHP, the web programming language, affecting servers running popular apps like WordPress and Magento, with patches released October 21, 2026 after details leaked early. Exploitation was confirmed in the wild soon after disclosure, prompting quick WAF protections and patching by IT teams, as unauthenticated attacks could turn visited sites into vectors for credential theft or device exploits. Stay SAFU!

AI is NOT Intelligent. Please people, try to understand. It creates Nothing, and pattern matches everything. Sure, it is good at gathering human intelligence and connecting the dots. It can analyze all of our collective thoughts. Intelligence = creation. It fails at that.

Can we figure out how to remove old, expired satellites and junk debris from space before launching 15000 more into space? Might be a good idea. SpaceX can catch a rocket with a pair of tongs, surely we can figure this out. @elonmusk

In Canada, "Sorry" means something else. I dare you to play a drinking game in Canada, based on Sorry. Everyone drinks when Sorry is said. #sorryimdrunk

If anybody wants to know why Gen X is always mad, it's because they had to replace their record collections with a tape collection that they had to replace with a CD collection that they had to replace with an MP3 collection, and now they need a subscription to listen to music

Does anyone have any clue what happens when you stop using racial slurs and stop talking about racism? It dies. Let it.

Didactomechanica. This is AI. It is not "intelligence". It is pattern recognition based on training from "Hooomans". It cannot "Create" anything. It can only help us put the puzzle together. We have to identify the pieces.

Europeans discovered that a stadium can also be a feast, that sport and abundance aren't mutually exclusive. Each continent left with something the other had always taken for granted.

The 2026 World Cup didn't just share the beautiful game, it exchanged the cultures surrounding it. Americans discovered the poetry of the terrace, the chant that rises from the chest before the whistle even blows.

This is a sharp question that cuts to the heart of a real debate in AI and philosophy of mind. The short answer: there is no logical inference โ€” there's only the appearance of it. Pattern matching produces correlation-based outputs, not conclusions derived from premises.

A pure pattern matcher has none of those โ€” it produces the statistically expected next output given prior inputs. That can look like reasoning because human reasoning also leaves patterns in text, and the matcher has ingested enormous amounts of it.

True logical inference requires: - A formal relationship between propositions - Rules of entailment (if A and B, then C necessarily) - The ability to recognize when a rule doesn't apply
