No one — NO ONE — in America knows that “Chicken Run 2” exists and can be watched on Netflix right now.
The “Environment Design as Spatial Cinematography: Theory and Practice” GDC talk is a pretty interesting snippet of Rockstar thinking (and relatively broadly applicable in visual art, iirc)
Replying to @videotech
I was surprised to hear how many devs at Rockstar take the whole "we don't want to ruin the magic" thing seriously.
But I totally respect it, even if I genuinely want to hear from the brilliant, dedicated devs over there. They seem truly passionate about their work.

Here's a thread outlining the geopolitical situation around the Israel-Gaza war its possibilities, impossibilities, and possible outcomes. Heads up, it's my longest thread yet. It's also raw, unedited, and unevenly paced. Sorry, none of us are well but at least we're trying

In this animation, we demonstrate the dynamic movement of the patella during knee flexion and extension, as well as the crucial role played by the tibial collateral ligament as it pulls the medial meniscus back and forth. We hope you like the result!

I’ve been thinking about this and it’s a quietly radicalizing realization that rapacious profit seeking has hollowed out so much of what’s fun and community enhancing in our society. So many things just stopped existing because they don’t return 300% to awful people.

I didn’t understand why everyone was so excited about this video and then I watched it. Pure cinema. Absolutely perfect.

Waiting on a replacement X-axis screw to come in for the mill, so meanwhile I’m having fun to celebrate the shop being mostly usable again after the move.
