How I Vibe Coded an Entire Website
My Setup:
- Model: Claude Opus 4.5
- Tool: Claude Code
- Skill: Front-end skill (this is what makes it look professional instead of generic and "vibe coded")
Steps:
1. Write down your core features. Put them in a markdown file.
2. Pick your stack.
I use Next.js because it's easier to scale later if I want to. You can use plain HTML if you prefer... it's simpler and works fine for a static site.
3. Start with plan mode.
Start small. I found it easiest to begin with just two pages: a landing page and a support or about page.
For example, you can prompt:
"Using your frontend skill, create a landing page + about page for an app described in ./markdown_file_name.md"
4. Fill out the plan mode questionnaire.
5. Iterate until you get what you want.
6. Buy a domain.
7. Deploy on GitHub Pages (it's free.)

I'm Boris and I created Claude Code. Lots of people have asked how I use Claude Code, so I wanted to show off my setup a bit.
My setup might be surprisingly vanilla! Claude Code works great out of the box, so I personally don't customize it much. There is no one correct way to use Claude Code: we intentionally build it in a way that you can use it, customize it, and hack it however you like. Each person on the Claude Code team uses it very differently.
