Well, I won #parisdevdayhack hackathon with Fridge AI 🏆🎉
I spent the weekend turning my regular fridge into an AI-powered one using a Raspberry Pi, a webcam, and a bunch of LLMs. Turns out, it wasn’t such a crazy idea after all!
Huge thanks to @borvibe @oleksandrtsp @OpenAIDevs for organizing such a cool event! It was very fun and I learned a lot
The hackathon is over, but now I'm wondering… should I actually crowdfund this thing? 🤔
that’s pretty cool. funny thing - just a week or two ago I was researching neural interfaces and even considered buying an EEG board and some sensors to play around
but these guys came up with an even simpler concept, and most likely a more accurate one too. great job!
We’ve raised $1.3M from YC & Afore Capital so you never have to type or speak again.
Typing is slow. Talking into your computer is awkward. Subvocal fixes both
Our glasses give you the speed of speech without you making a sound or touching a keyboard.
It tracks your internal speech muscles with non-contact sensing and decodes silent, almost invisible mouthing into text at more than 200 words/min.
Pre-orders are now live at:
subvocal.co/preorder?utm_sou…
the future is getting interesting - communication with colleagues is slowly turning into communication between our AI agents 😂
Just a year ago, nobody would have believed you if you told them these projects were cooked up in a weekend.
Just pair @OpenAIDevs tools with ambitious Parisians and magic happens!!

#ParisDevDayHack
I bought some chicken last week, forgot about it, and the chicken is now a biohazard
so instead of being a responsible adult, I'm spending this weekend building Fridge AI to keep track of what's in my fridge and what's about to go bad
@borvibe @openaidevs #parisdevdayhack
Turns out recording and editing a demo video is just as difficult as building the actual product!
But I did it, and the form has been submitted ✅
That was super fun, and I also learned a lot! Thanks for organizing this, @borvibe @OpenAIDevs !
