byler is so good to me because the show is literally built around them. they are at the centre of so many plot and relationship conflicts, which are resolved through byler’s ability to communicate with each other in every season. even in s4, m11’s relationship conflict is solved

through byler. we see a lot of the show through a byler lens bc it deliberately focuses on them, and not only does that make byler incredibly real and plausible, but it’s also why the show significantly lost it’s spark when the writers sidelined byler in the second half of s5.
