Most of the last GOP Reps surviving in well-educated white collar districts, like NY's Mike Lawler, have built strong personal defenses. But they are are facing a 100-year flood that could wash many of them away-like the Dem blue dogs in 2010. My take. bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

Yup.
1. Not sure when a new, on-the-record rape allegation against a sitting president isn’t considered news — especially considering Trump was found liable by a jury in a similar case — but it was ignored by most mainstream media outlets

When did the go-to outfit for every white collar male worker in Chicago become chinos and a half zip or vest? Why are we letting Silicon Valley affect fashion? You’re a grown man making 6 figures, wear a suit!

A cool fact in a smart story re a key county: "Talarico’s path to victory may require doing what no federal Democrat has done since 1970 when Lloyd Bentsen defeated George H.W. Bush in his first Senate run: win Collin County." texastribune.org/2026/10/27/…

The Richard Pyror messaging:-who you gonna believe, me or your lyin' eyes?-typically has not been a big winner for presidents trying to tell voters they don't know how good they have it.

One of Trump's political strengths was firming GOP grip on red states. In 2017 Dems had 8 Senate seats in the 25 states that would eventually vote for him 3x. Today, Dems are 0/50 in those states. But they have a strong shot at 4 (NC/OH/AK/TX) & chances at others-IA/KS/SC etc.

Ceiling is definitely the challenge for Ds in the deep red states; the more voters who exercise the soft protest of a third party choice, the better their chances.

In 2020 internals in SC had a margin of error race on election eve and a Constitution Party candidate infused with millions from Harrison’s war chest - Andrews has a ceiling of 46 and GOP voters here going home despite the intraparty warfare of the legislative session & primary

If any of the states beyond the core six GOP held targets actually fall, Ds would build a Senate majority very hard to dislodge certainly before 2030 and maybe as far as 2032. Trump’s decline has created a generational opportunity for them in places that long seemed beyond reach
Easy to imagine deep red stares like SC, NEB & KS still prove a heartbreak hill for Dems but the polling in them this close to Election Day is remarkable.
