I’d build a white house with blue shutters with a room overlooking the river and post myself on the newspaper so that CLEAN FREE SKATE MINKYU comes back and redeems himself 🙏🏻

sasha’s fs is like shockingly worse than her sp in terms of choreo/pcs generally and she’s only accommodating one (1) quad as the FIRST ELEMENT. she was already scored plenty generously, it’s mind-boggling that anyone genuinely believes she was UNDERscored

Every time Lara performs her free program it only gets better and better. But whoa the choreography so well composed. I want her to podium so bad 😭

remember when the isu used her as an example of 3.00-4.75 range in transitions and she still got 8s for them at that same competition
“trusova receives two or three points in bonuses for her step sequence, while the Japanese skater gets four or five” gee. i wonder why. this must be a conspiracy.
📝| Alena Leonova disagrees with the results of the ISU Grand Prix event in China. According to the former figure skater, Alexandra Trusova deserved to win the competition in Shenzhen.
“I was very surprised that Sasha ended up in second place. That is absolutely not where she belongs. She definitely should have won this competition. If you look at the protocols, everything is quite clearly reflected there. Chiba is a wonderful figure skater who has been competing internationally for a long time. She even finished fourth at the Olympics, just one step away from the podium. But that doesn't change the fact that the protocols show how generously her grades of execution were awarded.
Meanwhile, Sasha doesn't receive the same scores, even though she made no mistakes, had no flaws or poor landings. Chiba, I should point out, had an under-rotation for which she received a negative grade of execution. For example, Trusova receives two or three points in bonuses for her step sequence, while the Japanese skater gets four or five. I think that's exactly where the answer lies as to how the placements were determined. Even the Korean skater, despite performing a triple Axel, doesn't receive bonuses like that. I find it strange and difficult to understand.
Nevertheless, I'm very happy for Sasha. I'm sure she will achieve her goals. Today's performance was simply fantastic.”

“well what do you expect she’s a japanese athlete in china” is actually an incredibly sinophobic thing to say. why are you framing chinese audiences as incapable of basic etiquette? the people booing are clearly just bad actors who are upset abt mone winning gold.

we (chinese people) are not ill-mannered people who don’t know that yelling derogatory remarks at a skater is poor behaviour. those people who chose to do so to mone are the exception not the rule.

i hate the figure skating wordle boxes and i believe everybody should be able to watch mone chiba's amazing clair de lune free skate without commentators talking over it. so, here's the alternate main perspective feed. enjoy! 😼
This ice skater was skating right after the NEUTRAL AIN ROCKET, who had a QUAD. The judges were conspiring against her, so she intentionally didn’t do any QUAD SPINS to protest against them, and they had no choice but to give her the gold.

you guys know damn well mone wasn’t being booed for past comments she’s made. she was being booed by a disrespectful, mean audience, who didn’t want to see her win and couldn’t cope with the fact that she did
