I wrote a poem with a hundred strangers tonight ♥️ A big thank you to @denverlibrary and The Library Lineup for having me. I truly had the best time… if those brooding poets could see us now!!!
I’m presenting tonight at The Maven hotel in Denver.
If you’re into space 🌌 and nighttime poetry shenanigans ✍️, reserve a seat!

Goal: stay looking for the beauty. Stay moving. Create home in pockets of the world you haven’t roamed yet.
This one’s for the girl who jumped up into the air (accidentally punching a tree’s limb) when I got a hole-in-one on one of our first dates. Earning your love is my life’s greatest accomplishment, F ♥️
Story time: I met my paternal grandmother for the first time while working at the Holiday Inn in Mayfield Village, Ohio.
She recently sent me this text message, “How does one deconstruct a life?” It’s been echoing in my head for a few months now.
Story time: It was very windy a few weeks ago in Colorado. A few days afterwards, I was finding random bits of trash in my yard and came across a piece of paper.
I found someone’s notes from therapy, and it inspired this one. You can read the full story on my FB page.

For a poet, there’s pressure to get the most juice out of each word. To extract. And sometimes it’s that weight that actually stops us from writing.
Trying to let go of that - every word being perfect. I’m a work in progress.
This and much more to come 🥰
✨ Submissions are OPEN for our next issue: Magic ✨
