"That was the most excitement and passion that I've seen since I've been on College GameDay.. That BYU team plays with so much confidence and it starts with Coach Sitake" ~ Coach Saban #PMSLive

Keeping in tact the more recent trend of judges finding that the status quo is that Class of 2022 athletes are eligible because that's what the bylaws say. Makes it much, much easier to justify an injunction.
Replying to @rtmccombs
Will write more soon after talking to more lawyers and getting more details, but another piece of good news for the players: this is a prohibitionary injunction, which will make it more difficult for the NCAA to win on appeal.

News: The injunction has been granted. Jaxon Kohler is eligible. The NCAA will likely appeal.
Hearing is over. Feedback I’ve received from people there is that it’s likely players will get an injunction. Judge should issue the ruling this afternoon.

The judge hearing the case, Beth McGowen, made the court aware today she is a BYU grad and Gonzaga fan. Jaxon Kohler (BYU) and Xaivian Lee (Gonzaga) are part of the case. Go Cougs and Go Zags (for today, at least)

Big morning for Jaxon Kohler. The Glancey vs NCAA injunction hearing in Santa Clara, CA is currently underway. Continuation of the Sept 29 hearing. Should get a ruling today if an injunction is granted and the players remain eligible. Most seem to think it will. We will see.

I know for a fact these numbers are wrong. They’re mathematically impossible. I personally know two donors whose contributions alone would put us at double the reported spend. And that doesn’t even include the likely 20–30 others who contribute big dollars each year. Whoever told you this either lied or is spreading a false, negative narrative. Our athletics have never been in a better spot. Why is someone pushing this message right now? 🤔 It takes a village and everyone has the same goal. Let’s all push in the same direction together! Go Cougs! 💙💙💙
Remember when Kalani was frustrated about resources? Word on the street is that Kalani had verbal commitments from 2 Ohio State receivers and a Tennessee lineman. But when they went to check the funds, Brian Santiago had moved $8 million from football to basketball without informing the program. As a result, they weren't able to pay the recruits what they thought they could and lost them. During the last transfer portal, Ohio St lost six wide receivers including 4 and 5⭐ recruits, and Tennessee lost six OLinemen. It's very likely that, without Brian Santiago, those players would have been playing for BYU this year.

Two weeks from tonight BYU hoops opens the season vs Ohio State in Salt Lake City. Good test for both teams that features two of nation's top freshmen in Bruce Branch and Anthony Thompson. KenPom has each team with 50% win probabilty.

Quick write up on BYU basketball’s #25 Preseason AP Poll ranking. The next iteration of the poll could see a big shakeup as we get more clarity on eligibility of fifth years guys. Some voters considered them in rankings, others did not. vanquishthefoe.com/byu-baske…

5-1 here and BYU gets in the CFP. 4-2 and it gets dicey.
