All those people who've said this is very good are quite correct. Intense, unapologetic, refreshingly outward-facing stories from from @C_CRRLL that get better & better as you get deeper in. (Feel a bit bad that I once told her I hated italics... but she's redeemed them for me)
Hello #shortstory writers! If your story/draft won't behave but also won't let you go, my @londonlitlab Bootcamp course is for you. Tons of great story analysis, supportive feedback on your work & in-depth advice on how to tackle intransigent problemsπ οΈ tickettailor.com/events/londβ¦
Strange mixture of proud and embarrassed to realise it's 5 years today since my offspring and its 3 excellent siblings were born (tho' 2020β2022 don't count, I know.) It's the best feeling to know people are still buying/reading it boilerhouse.press/product-paβ¦
I have just podcasted with the brilliant @LiviMichael and Sonya Moore on their series Small Pleasures. 20 mins of deep short-story chat here youtube.com/watch?v=f8BDLKk9β¦ - with a focus on my new story Emeralds Live, published in @lunatejournal vol.4 π
Fabulous new episode with fascinating insights from guest Ruby Cowling!

Great. Brilliant. To merch up their Xmas ad @JohnLewisRetail creates millions of these 100% polyester bits of death-cult consumerist crap made in China that no one needs or even wants. Forgotten by January, won't break down for centuries. We are so screwed. So screwed.
Very late, yet again, to the party - but it was a great party! Brilliant, brisk stories from some of the best in the business, accompanied by interviews that are superbly revealing ππ
Congrats @tomconagh and everyone involved
I adored @jamelbrinkley's first collection, A Lucky Man. Am similarly agog after finishing his new one, Witness (thanks to @KishWidyaratna). Stories that kicked my arse as a reader AND a writer - the title story in particular. So sophisticated, so sharp. Buy it. #shortstories
