Big Milestone today ✔️
PhD at @UniofAdelaide submitted for examination! Now the waiting game begins 🤞I’m extremely grateful to all those who’ve helped along the way and am looking forward to being #PhDone! As always, such a treat to have my sister @isobelhume_ by my side 💕
Felt very lucky last night to receive the @RoyalSocSA ‘All Rounder Award’ for Early-Career Researchers, recognising involvement in scientific outreach and engagement. It was also great to hear about the interesting and varied research that the society is supporting- thank you!
I had such a great time at @WorldSoils2022 congress this week - wonderful to learn about what is happening in #soil science policy and eduction around the world! WE ❤ SOIL #WCSS2022
Fantastic presentation by @em_ley (as to be expected!) sharing her research on sealevel rise effects on #biogeochemistry of coastal waters at the final day of #WCSS2022
A fun day of mess and learning today- running DNA extraction sessions for @UniofAdelaide #scienceexperience - I spent the day with a bunch of enthusiastic yr 9 and 10 students sharing my (limited) knowledge of the wonders of DNA!
my pilot plants had their first scans at @AustPlantPhenom today! we’ll be exploring spectral responses to soil acidity and remediation using some of the fancy technologies on offer here… but i’m just excited by the conveyer belt system!
what fun! 2 days at @UniofAdelaide Ingenuity expo, talking with and learning from students, industries and other exhibitors - trust #scicom to provide a fresh dose of inspiration just when it’s needed!
New article out via @theGRDC highlighting the important work being done to raise awareness about soil acidity in cropping regions across SA. Working with @SA_PIRSA on the acid soils project continues to be an incredible and hugely informative experience!
