The Emir of Katsina, Alhaji Dr. Abdulmumini Kabir Usman, strongly criticized leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) during a high-profile visit to his palace. [1, 2] The monarch spoke during a visit by Senator Abdulaziz Abubakar Yari, the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council for President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid. The delegation also included Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and former Governor Aminu Bello Masari. [1, 2] In a widely circulated video from the meeting, the Emir delivered a blunt assessment, warning the APC politicians to "stop deceiving Nigerians" about the true condition of the country. [1, 2] The Emir's main rebukes focused on the following issues: •Prioritizing Campaigns over Security: The Emir expressed deep anger that politicians are already jostling for 2027 campaign tickets while everyday citizens are being killed by bandits. He noted that 52 schools are closed within his emirate and farmers cannot access farmlands across 12 Local Government Areas due to severe insecurity. He questioned why they were building a campaign structure instead of a security task force to capture bandit leaders like Bello Turji. [1, 2, 3] •Selfishness vs. Public Service: He accused political leaders of forgetting the common people once elections are over. He remarked that politicians treat the palace like a "voting center or toilet" that they only visit when they need something, only to disappear to Abuja and Lagos until the next election cycle.[1] •Internal Party Infighting:

He openly called out internal rivalries within the state APC, pointing to the friction between the camps of current Governor Radda, former Governor Masari, and Abuja-based politicians. He noted that while they fight for political dominance, ordinary masses face severe hunger. [1] •A Warning on the 2027 Elections: He warned that voters have learned from the politicians' selfishness. He cautioned that in 2027, if the APC brings bags of rice and money to buy votes, the people will collect the items but still vote against the party. [1] The Emir concluded by challenging Senator Yari to stand for the truth, use dialogue and persuasion rather than political backbiting, and properly convey the suffering and economic hardships of ordinary Nigerians back to the presidency. ResolveAm is a Nigerian civic-tech digital platform designed for citizens to report public issues, track institutional accountability, and drive community-led change. [1, 2] Operated by the Foundation for Community Justice and Response (FCJR)—a Lagos-based non-profit organization—the platform aims to ensure that public complaints are not ignored and that citizens have a transparent, public record to document systemic issues. [1, 2] What Can Be Reported? Nigerians use ResolveAm to submit public reports across several core categories: [1] •Infrastructure Failures: Broken roads, bridges, and prolonged utility disruptions (e.g., communities crying out over failed electricity grid connections or transformer issues). •Government & Corruption: Instances of public extortion, bribery, abuse of power, or political misconduct. •Social & Community Issues: Public welfare concerns, social injustices, human rights violations, and safety threats. •Environmental & Health Hazards: Pollution, illegal waste dumping, and public health risks. •Systemic & Nationwide Failures: Structural problems like wrongful banking deductions or broad institutional errors.

Replying to @inecnigeria
@inecnigeria, failing to publish the voters’ register online is an offence under Section 19(5) of the Electoral Act 2026, and dereliction of duty under Section 124(1), and the 18 October deadline has passed. Are you above the law?

The Center for Governance Research has launched the Governance Report, a monthly, evidence-based look at how Nigeria's governments are performing. Each month we score every state government, the FCT and the federal government on nine measures that shape everyday life: basic needs, healthcare, education, the economy and public finances, infrastructure, security, governance, transparency and public sentiment. Every government is judged by the same rules, and every fact in the report is tied to a named source and a date. What you can expect from us: •    A final score out of 100 for every state, ranked within its zone, with the best performers named each month. •    A clear explanation of why each score is what it is, and where the evidence was thin. •    Our method, published in full, so anyone can check how a score was reached. Every score follows a published method, the same for every government, and the evidence behind each one can be checked. The first report, covering September 2026, is now online at governanceresearch.org/, together with our method. You can read and download it there. If you would like the figures behind a state's score, or an interview, or any other inquiry, please reply to this email. Thank you for your time.

Watch the moment APM presidential candidate Seyi Makinde jumped down from the stage at a town hall, telling supporters to vote for the opposition if their candidates can do the same.

Former INEC Commissioner Festus Okoye says INEC is in breach of the Electoral Act by not displaying the voters’ register. He also asks why voters aged 18 to 34 fell from about 37 million to 29 million. #Mundx #INEC #VotersRegister #NigeriaDecides2027

I didn’t believe it when I heard Festus Okoye say this on TV. I had to go and check the Electoral Act myself, and he was right. I am shocked! Under Nigeria’s Electoral Act 2026, INEC controls the prosecution of offences under the Act, even when its own officials are involved. How does this make sense? Who holds INEC accountable? And Nigeria’s political parties? What a complete joke! How can you claim to want credible elections and still allow INEC to control the prosecution of its own officials? What a disgrace!

INEC ooo
INEC has failed to publish the register. It missed the 90 day window of which Nigerians are quiet and looking. @NewsCentralTV invited Fmr INEC Commissioner Festus Okoye to ask him the way forward. Hear him recommending prison time for those responsible for this breach. It’s a very big deal. INEC can’t be trusted.
