Over 30 years ago, I argued, no politician should be trusted, unless they were willing to take major action, in their current term of office. I think this still stands. In other words, it's not what politicians are willing to do by 2050 that matters, but in the next few years.

We still have an ozone layer because we phased OUT (rather than phase DOWN) CFCs.
We still hear birdsong in spring because we phased OUT (rather than phase DOWN) DDT.
A livable climate requires that we phase OUT rather than phase DOWN fossil fuels.
There are formidable forces aligned against a fossil fuel "phaseout" at the upcoming UN climate talks.
Among them, the conference host, the oil-rich UAE, favors a much-vaguer pledge to “phase down” fossil fuels.

Academedia köper Berghs (för våra skattepengar som de tjänat via friskolorna). Vilket haveri som pågår och vad det verkar helt utan broms - trots stor majoritet hos väljarna som är emot systemet.

Never forget that when Seoul, Korea removed the Cheonggyecheon expressway in 2003 and replaced it with a restored stream, 1000 acre park and improved transit, not only did it transform the city’s public life & economic success, but the traffic got better.

Åsikt: kritisera för all del klimatdebatten och att det inte är någon fara, men snälla sluta med argument "höhö det är 15 grader i Sverige, vilken växthuseffekt?!"
Är ju som att säga att Sverige inte har problem med gängskjutningar för det minsann är svinlugnt i Funäsdalen.
