Excited to share that I’ve joined OpenAI to help build the future of financial intelligence. My focus is connecting models directly to the data sources, tools, and workflows analysts use every day. My team’s first product is the Excel plugin. After software engineering, finance will see the benefits of model improvements more acutely than almost any other field. This is just the start for us! More to come soon!
GPT-5.4 Thinking and GPT-5.4 Pro are rolling out now in ChatGPT. GPT-5.4 is also now available in the API and Codex. GPT-5.4 brings our advances in reasoning, coding, and agentic workflows into one frontier model.

Intelligence is no longer the bottleneck, it’s focus. While the frontier models solve Navier-Stokes, many companies moving the real economy still operate exactly the same. Since the problems these companies face likely won’t generalize to top a model that will top well known benchmark or solve a millennium problem, they get swept under the rug. At Hone, we focus on closing this gap with engines: agent systems that can bootstrap and tailor themselves toward the most pressing problems a company holds. Read our launch highlighting how our engines onboard themselves onto an enterprise context.
Today Hone launches Engines: AI that owns business outcomes. Chatbots give answers. Agents do tasks. Engines deliver outcomes, and we hold them responsible for creating real value, measured in actual dollars instead of tokens or vibes. You point it at a business metric, and the Engine figures out the rest. It onboards itself, builds the necessary agents, skills, and memories, collaborates with the right people, and gets better with experience. From AI leaders to global enterprises, our customers have already used Engines to: • Uncover millions in procurement savings • Optimize product funnels • Manage credit risk • Increase qualified pipeline in new territories • Accelerate implementations and improve account management To scale this impact across the economy, we’ve raised a $60M seed led by Benchmark and Index with participation from Elad Gil, Hanabi, Definition, Diffusion, Lux, SV Angel, and Align. AI’s raw capabilities are far ahead of the value it creates in the real world, and Engines will help close the gap. Here’s how they work…

Excited to finally share ChatGPT for Word!
Procrastination has met its match. ChatGPT is now in Word. You can add ChatGPT to Microsoft Word to turn rough notes into first drafts, untangle tricky paragraphs, proofread, and get suggested edits—all without leaving your document. It can even spot formatting issues. Which means a few less things to fix later 🔍

GPT-Live-1 finally makes conversations fluid. It distinguishes speech from background noise, so café chatter doesn’t have to stop the conversation ☕ You can even add a detail you just thought of or change direction mid-conversation without waiting for the model to finish its speaking turn.

Excited to finally share ChatGPT for Financial Services. When I joined OpenAI last year, my only goal was to allow financial institutions to easily access the data they need, and create a cohesive product experience that allows all bankers and analysts to do the majority of their work inside of ChatGPT. With ChatGPT for Financial Services, we’ve done the hard work of indexing the data that you need, and making it easily accessible to the model for financial analysis. We’ve created a custom charting experience, better citations, an SEC filing viewer, and much more. Today is just the start of this new chapter, excited to share more about all of this soon! openai.com/index/introducing…
