I'm releasing a new single and here's what I'm going to do to promote it: (Steps in the comments below) 💬 👇

So that's my plan so far with the limited time and budget I have for this song. Anything you think I missed or any topics you'd like for me to cover in a future video? Leave a comment and let's chat!

I'll also pair ads with Spotify Playlist placements because they work well together in triggering the Spotify algorithm (something I've done in the past and the goal is to do it again with this song).
2
That's why I'm going to run Facebook ads to cold interest audiences. I will also run retargeting ads to my existing followers because I want to make certain that they see my updates about the new release.

Another issue is that Facebook, and Instagram Feed only show your posts to your existing followers. But Ads will allow me to get hundreds of thousands of impressions per week, allowing me to reach my goal of exposing my music to brand new people.

YouTube, Instagram Shorts, and TikTok have a great algorithm for getting in front of brand new "cold" audiences, but the process can be extremely slow and it completely in the hands of the algorithm "gods" as to how many people see my posts.
3. I'm going to run Facebook Ads and Spotify Playlist campaigns So building off of my last plan of creating organic content, I'm going to use the best snippets as Facebook Ads in order to reach a cold audience.
There I said it. Songs are not that interesting on their own. I truly believe that it's the artist that sets the frame for a song being received well or not. And if I can create content to drive traffic to the song, then it will get more views and hence more appreciation.

2. I'm going to focus on creating content surrounding the song release and not just relying on the song itself to attract fans to itself. The reason for this is because it's really hard to make people care about a song.
The reason I take stock and asses my song first is because I need to be honest with myself.... Is this a song that is capable of gathering new fans to my brand? (AKA cold audience) Or is this a song that needs to find its purpose feeding the dedication of my existing fans?

1. Fast songs perform better than slow songs in marketing campaigns (generally) 2. High production songs are easier to playlist (compared to low fi, underground, or even acoustic tracks) 3. Ads are only as good as the content you can create

1. I'm going take stock of what my song is and what it isn't and promote appropriately for the type of song I've created. What I've learned from marketing almost 4000 songs is that there are patterns that are nearly always true that I need to be aware of:

Congrats to @EvergladesRock for launching the new podcast. This is run by some seriously talented musician friends of mine, check it out and enjoy :)
These bandmates don't pretend to be historians—they just love Rock & Roll. In their new show, they discuss the pioneers of Boogie Woogie Piano, and spin the stories + music from an American era that changed the world. Listen to @EvergladesRock on @Spotify: spoti.fi/3nTwAUB
