Yesterday, I merged our largest breaking change for TanStack Hotkeys during our alpha period. The useHotkeySequence, useHotkeySequences, and useHotkeySequenceRecorder hooks are removed. The normal useHotkey hooks just accept sequences now.
This makes it much easier to let sequence bindings live among the rest of your hotkeys without having to add special code and considerations just for them.

The library you know, rebuilt. Components now look sharper, move smoother and start from presets, and our design tools were fully rebuilt from scratch.

I still spend a LOT of time figuring out the right abstractions and interfaces (user and programming).
I recently built two components for shadcn/react. Each took weeks of UX research, experimentation, and iteration to get right.
AI hasn't accelerated this part yet, at least for me.
What it has done though, is help me fail faster. I can now go through many more failures before a component or code is ready.
Alright, I've made the shadcn/ui skills really good at 𝙳𝙴𝚂𝙸𝙶𝙽.𝚖𝚍.
Ask for a design system and it picks a preset, then builds everything: colors, tokens, type scale, elevation, styles the primitives and blocks.
Start with a solid foundation and build something unique.
