Due to the severity of the injuries sustained, Netcare HEMS was dispatched to provide emergency aeromedical assistance. Responding units assisted with securing the scene and managing traffic while medical personnel attended to the patient. The patient was airlifted from the scene for further medical treatment. SERIOUS MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT | THREE INJURED DATE: 25 SEPTEMBER 2026 ADDRESS: CYRILDENE, JOHANNESBURG REPORT: Following a SaferCity alert received regarding a serious motor vehicle accident in Cyrildene, emergency services and security members were mobilised to the scene. On arrival, it was established that two vehicles had been involved in a head-on collision. Three occupants sustained injuries, with one patient reported to be in a critical condition. Medical personnel attended to and stabilised the injured at the scene. Two patients were transported by ambulance to hospital for further treatment, while arrangements were subsequently made for the third patient to be transported for further medical care. HIJACKING & KIDNAPPING | VICTIM AND VEHICLE RECOVERED DATE: 26 AUGUST 2026 ADDRESS: SPRINGS REPORT: Following a SaferCity alert received regarding a female victim who had been hijacked and kidnapped along with her vehicle, multiple security partners, law enforcement and community safety members mobilised and commenced a coordinated search for the victim and the hijacked vehicle. Information was received indicating that the victim had been dropped off in the Springs area. Responding members successfully located and secured her. Although severely shaken by the incident, she had sustained no physical injuries and was safely reunited with her family. The hijacked Toyota Yaris was later tracked to Kwa-Thema, where it was successfully recovered. No suspects were present at the recovery location. HIJACKED VEHICLE RECOVERED DATE: 18 AUGUST 2026 ADDRESS: ETWATWA, BENONI REPORT: Following a SaferCity alert received regarding a hijacked vehicle, Blue Hawk Tactical members mobilised to the last known location in Etwatwa. Tracker SA located the vehicle abandoned in a secluded area. The vehicle had been extensively stripped. No suspects were present. According to the driver, he had earlier been hijacked by approximately eight armed suspects travelling in a black Ford Ranger. The suspects allegedly took him to the location where several individuals began stripping components from his vehicle. Additional suspects later arrived to assist, and the stolen components were loaded into the Ford Ranger before the group fled. The driver was located by Etwatwa SAPS and transported back to the recovery scene. On arrival, Blue Hawk Tactical members assisted in preventing the fire from spreading towards nearby animals, using a hose provided by a local resident.
