IT'S NOT ABOUT THE RICH & THE POOR, IT'S ABOUT DIGNITY OF LABOUR - 21 floors. 20 kg of cemented bricks on one head. 4 modern lifts in the building, but zero allowed for the human who actually built it ! Our system still treats the real builders of this nation like second-class citizens. Progress means nothing if humanity is left behind. Shame on this system! 💔🤬

Sea for ads SALE.🥲 Maharashtra Maritime Board plans 15 glowing billboards floating on Mumbai's waters, including off Juhu and Worli, for up to 10 years. Ports Minister Nitesh Rane calls it a win-win for the board and advertisers. Residents and environmentalists, who objected months ago, weren't part of that win. The Bandra West Residents Association objected in April. In May, Awaaz Foundation wrote to CM Fadnavis warning about light pollution affecting birds, marine life and residents. Even New York, home of Times Square, banned digital billboards on boats in 2019, calling them a nuisance and a safety hazard. Mumbai is adopting what New York BANNED

One goes to a sea/ocean shore to soak in the salty breeze, gaze into the horizon, watch the waves and feel calm, get energised AND be calmed at the same time. So naturally, this fucking regime has to snatch that away from us with ugly construction and now hoardings.

Mumbai’s Coastline Is Not an Advertising Billboard! 🇺🇸 New York restricts floating digital billboards in its waters. 🇫🇷 France prohibits illuminated advertising at sea. Why? Light pollution, disturbance to marine life and visual pollution. Do we really want Mumbai’s beautiful coastline cluttered with giant floating advertisements?

Mumbai’s first AI-powered waste camera is being tested at Dr R. R. Marg in Mahim. And it does more than just watch you. AI-powered camera detects movement when someone approaches the spot to dump garbage. And the moment it does, a loudspeaker springs into action, warning the person not to litter because the area is under CCTV surveillance. The real test for the BMC will be to ensure that garbage collection vehicles arrive regularly in these localities so people can correctly dispose their waste.

🚨 I just returned from one of the top hospitals in Thane. What I saw should worry every middle-class Indian. One of our customers is undergoing treatment for cancer-related complications. 10 days in the hospital. Bill so far: ₹10,49,345. And the treatment is STILL ongoing. That's nearly ₹1 lakh per day! The room rent alone for a single private AC room is ₹7,200 per day. And that's just the beginning. On top of this, you pay for: 📈 Doctors' fees 📈 Nursing charges 📈 Medicines and investigations 📈 Medical equipment and operation theatre charges 📈 Other treatment-related expenses The bills keep piling up. Healthcare costs are spiralling out of control. Thankfully, This customer has a ₹50 lakh ICICI Lombard Elevate health insurance policy, which is covering the treatment. But let this sink in. How is an ordinary middle-class family supposed to afford this? A ₹10 lakh health insurance cover could be exhausted within days of a complicated hospitalisation. Cancer treatment can cost a fortune. With medical inflation estimated at around 14%, the cost of accessing quality healthcare continues to rise. Your income may not grow at the same pace as your medical expenses. Your savings may not be enough. And when a medical emergency strikes, You cannot simply postpone treatment because it is too expensive. Hospitals are becoming places where money flows like water. Years of savings can disappear in a matter of days. The middle class is increasingly at risk of being priced out of quality healthcare. Health insurance is no longer just financial planning. It is protection against a medical emergency that could wipe out your family's savings. Don't choose a policy just because the premium is cheap. 📈 Look at the sum insured. 📈 Understand the exclusions and waiting periods. 📈 Account for rising medical costs. 📈 Make sure you have access to proper claims support when you need it. Because buying health insurance is only the beginning. When a medical emergency strikes, Your family should be fighting the illness—not fighting to arrange money for treatment.

This is Paritosh Ladhani. An example of a true leader. He blacklisted a guest at Taj Agra for life. - The guest visited Taj Agra. - At the restaurant, some miscommunication happened because one of the staff members named Kanti was not able to communicate properly in English. - The guest slapped Kanti. - Kanti didn't file any complaint because working at Taj was his dream, and he was afraid of losing his job. When Paritosh came to know about this matter, he said, "It doesn't matter how wealthy or influential you are. No one has the right to disrespect someone from my team." The very next day, he blacklisted the guest for life at Taj Agra. JUST AMAZING.

The Supreme court has said that Hospitals are making profits through "Dacoity". Why: A medical distributor's wife was admitted for CANCER treatment. The hospital was billing him ₹1,30,000 for an injection that otherwise cost ₹11,000. The distributor said that he'll arrange the injection. The hospital refused😅 The hospital has not been named. But this is the story of every private hospital today. The big PE funds hold a majority stake in Indian private hospitals. There's no regulation or scope of audit on how hospitals are blasphemously charging patients in the time of crisis by cheating them. It is high time that a price regulation law on hospitals were introduced. I am sure all of us have a hospital horror story. Share it in the comments/quote tweet. I am sharing mine👇

Taj Agra has banned a guest for life after he allegedly slapped a waiter, Kanti, over a communication issue because he wasn’t fluent in English. Kanti, who comes from a farming family, reportedly stayed silent out of fear of losing his job. Paritosh Ladhani, who manages the hotel, revealed the incident in a LinkedIn post and said the decision was taken after learning that the employee had been assaulted while doing his job. No amount of money gives anyone the right to abuse another human being. Kudos to Taj Agra for taking a stand, but a hotel ban isn’t enough. The accused should face legal action. Such behaviour must have consequences.
