This needed to be said. Can talk all day about style of play/xG etc but OG track record at previous clubs (all of them?) suggests this can’t be all on him. Too many players coasting and they can’t hide behind the comfort blanket of being excused and the manager being sacked every time. The only reason there’s any uncertainty about who will win the Ballon d’Or this year is because Harry Kane put up those numbers, not anyone else.
If Mbappe or Yamal put up the numbers Kane did, everyone would already have unanimously agreed the trophy is theirs.
