The proposed ban on puberty blockers for young trans people is very concerning.
Labour's manifesto promised to "remove indignities for trans people who deserve recognition & acceptance" -this entails ending the ban on puberty blockers.
I will always stand with trans youth.

With what appears to have been an assist from Farage and Sunak, the GB News owners hedge fund has reportedly cashed by in betting against NatWest. This requires an urgent investigation so we can find out what has happened.
So do reports of Truss and Kwarteng reportedly having lunch with hedgefunders that short the pound prior to the mini budget. Then after, at a widely reported champagne lunch, where Kwarteng was said to have been advised to double down on their horrifying budget, which further screwed the markets and left millions of Britons facing huge mortgage increases and risk of homelessness.
It’s almost as if the book Jacob Rees Moggs dad wrote is being used as a manual. This is generally how "Sovereign Individuals" operate.
One of Jacob Rees Mogg’s donors is Crispin Odey, ex husband of Murdochs daughter and the man that made millions in the aftermath of Brexit, after donating vast sums to leave groups, he has benefitted from a lot of crashes. He’s also linked to the fossil fuel big wigs, Mogg is vocally pro fracking and was very pro Brexit, but I’m sure that’s just a big coincidence…
Disaster capitalism, shorting the pound, betting against your own country - the antithesis of patriotism. Yet they all claim to be the poster boys for patriotism? Real patriots look around now and feel little but shame for what their nation has become.
That’s how it all generally works though, between the government and powerful people. It’s all high stakes gambling and bank robbing arranged in Prada at the Carlton by the elite, fuck ups orchestrated, billionaires get richer, send it all offshore - then we are left to pay for it, a society in ruins that’s told to accept low pay as food prices and energy bills soar, that face hate crimes as their red meat/ culture war rhetoric impacts our communities, that’s taxed higher as our public services fall to ruins due to government cuts.
Meanwhile, MPs cash in, their pay increases, their expenses increase and their mates divvy out shares then take the money and run, or buy yachts and sail away.
They’re like a posh mafia and we are all being conned on an industrial scale.

Are you the same guy who dropped his house building targets? Because I’m the guy who started building more council homes than the rest of England combined, exceeded your affordable homes targets & built more homes of any kind than since the 1930s. This is desperate nonsense.
Labour’s Sadiq Khan has failed to deliver the homes London needs, driving up prices and making it harder for families to get on the housing ladder.
So I’m stepping in to boost house building and make home ownership a reality again for Londoners.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Under Sadiq Khan were more new homes completed per year than under any previous Mayor of London.

Anyone who is sick of Andy peddling this lie.
Here is the email of the standards commissioner where we can all lodge a complaint about his behaviour that clearly goes against the senedd code of conduct.

People who say it cannot be done should get out of the way of the people doing it.

Yeah, we did. They found £5 million. Your turn.

There's no magic money tree, Janet.
Maybe have a word with your party about spending £5Bn of Welsh money on HS2 in England first. If our budget wasn't that short, you might get a seat.

The Tories are so detached from the reality of life under their oppressive and incompetent leadership, they cannot comprehend that ordinary people cannot afford food, heating, can’t see a GP or Dentist, are terrified of needing help from unavailable services, that removing rights from people who cannot afford to replace them is utterly disheartening and repressive, that watching someone you care about die unnecessarily is unforgivable, that the majority of people don’t hide their money offshore or steal from the public purse, that cronyism and corruption goes against what most people think is acceptable.
They sit in their mansions, servants on hand, and spend their time focusing on their priorities, which are hoarding money for themselves and their friends, at our expense.
In 13 long years of Tory governance, not one thing has improved for ordinary people, it’s all decidedly dreadful.
Their hateful rhetoric has finally failed them, they deserve nothing less than utter ruination.
Roll on the #GeneralElection.

Diane Abbott's letter aside, there is something frankly *gross* about a bunch of white reactionaries who support deportations & increasing police powers, luxuriating themselves in the perverse pleasure of getting to call a black woman racist.
