My latest book, Whisper War, is a 'gripping' 'exciting' and 'fast-paced' wartime thriller with a paranormal twist!

October was a relatively good month, 8 sales and 3k page reads, just over £25 in royalties.
I'm 6 years and 5 books into my "I'm gonna really give this a go" phase of authorhood, sold around 2k books, had around 100k page reads.
It's been a lot of effort for about £25 a month, so it's a good thing I do it solely for the love of the game!
I have a couple tricks left to try and see if I'll ever hit any serious numbers - but I'm very happy with a consistent, if small, readership that's gradually growing. The good reviews are nice too. Any writer who has fans, even if it's a handful, or one, has made it in my eyes.
Curious how my writer friends think about success and what it looks like as a selfpub/indie author.

I'm paying it forward by using my Twitter accounts to retweet emerging writers to a wider audience and amplify (free of charge) book publication announcements, literary awards, shortlist/longlist/nominations, publication in journals & magazines, and great reviews.

Didn't know it was National Author Day so huge shout out to the thousands of authors I know. Keep writing stories please, we need you and some of you write exactly the kinda shit I like.

The first novel in my series "Expat" is out! 🎉
With brand new covers, ebook, paperback and harcover editions. 📚This series means a lot to me, is inspired by real life events and experiences living abroad. If you like sometimes funny , sometime painful wholesome romance 🫶, yearning 😳, volleyball 🏐, and early 2000s nostalgia📵. This may be something for you.
If not, no worries, come and chat about writing and books.⌨️📚

Let’s try this again. So many #writerslift posts are just people trying to mark writers to send them unsolicited offers for betas/marketing etc. If you post your book links below, I promise never to DM you 😂 let’s support each other and if someone does bother you, let us know and we can block them.
