Just spent a wonderful weekend with @dgriffgallery showing him some of my local spots. It’ll probably take me another 6 months to get around to editing my images though, so you may as well just go and enjoy his!
Another from the shore of Loch Maree, from Bridge of Grudie across to Slioch 😊👍

The snow last week was rather good up here in the highlands. Well, not so much for driving but for the scenery.

I've been gazing longingly at the snow out of the office window this week, and of course it looks like it's melting just before the weekend! Never mind, I'll be out in whatever's left of it tomorrow regardless. For now, here's an image from a few weeks ago before the snow arrived

This is almost an exact repeat of an image I took of this tree back in the autumn. It was nice to be able to catch the same conditions in the winter!

Assynt is an area where I definitely need to spend more time. I always seem to be driving through it, and aside from a camp on Cul Mor, which was some time ago now, it’s an area I’ve not explored enough with the camera. Hopefully I’ll manage to correct that a bit this year.

I had gone out to photograph some birch trees in the hoar frost, but got somewhat distracted by a puddle! 🤣

Jeesh, 6 years ago today - I’m not usually one to reshare old images much though I remember taking this and it being a bit of a light bulb moment with regards to thinking out of the box in dire/flat light. There’s (nearly) always a shot if you look hard enough

Winter is in full swing here in the highlands, but here are a couple of images I took a few weeks ago in #glenaffric when the autumn was at its best. There's also a video from this morning here: youtu.be/2w0VjjDzTDY?si=X3BH…

Snow storms blowing in from the north last weekend. I had to take shelter in a cave at one point, but I had this entire beach to myself. What an amazing place! #landscapephotography #seascapes #Scotland

What better way to spend a long weekend than standing in the sea with freezing northerly winds and snow showers blowing at you? #durness #landscapephotography

The #aurora show last night was pretty spectacular. Taken from a vantage point in #Plockton, looking towards #Applecross.

I couldn't make it out on Sunday evening, so decided to make up for it last night. This was The #Aurora viewed from #plockton last night! #aurorauk #northernlights #Scotland

Elgol is always worth the drive over the bridge to #Skye. It was also nice to catch a dusting of snow on the Cuillin. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a bit more in the coming weeks though! #landscapephotography #isleofskye
