Three men stabbed after a gang of balaclava-clad, knife wielding thieves targeted people leaving Fortitude Valley bars with one teen in custody .
Discussing it on @TheTodayShow with @karlstefanovic & Dr Monique Ryan @Mon4Kooyong
Out of the surf and back in the studio - about to join Sarah Abo on @TheTodayShow to discuss uprising in Russia & the passing of Simon Crean.
Sunshine Coast Solstice Swim done - my final competition swim before heading overseas in five weeks to attempt to swim from Alcatraz Island to the mainland across San Francisco Bay. Today the water temp was 21c - in the Bay it will 13c 🥶- definitely time to get a wet suit!
Bitter winter day on the Sunny Coast for the Solstice Swim at Alex Headland 😂 - breathtaking blue skies, 26c max air temp, 21c in the water. This is winter in Qld! It’s not just the State of Origin where we are the winners!
Getting close to the Winter Solstice and the shortest day of the year but Brissie still looking good early this morning on Mt Coot-tha heading into the @9Comms studios for @TheTodayShow
Labor looking to cap donations & spending at Federal elections smh.com.au/politics/federal/… Are they aimed at Palmer/Simon Holmes a Court? Discussing it with @cstanaway on Weekend @TheTodayShow this morning.
The @brisbanecityqld’s high-frequency bus rapid transit system Brisbane Metro being trialled along Kingsford Smith Drive last night.
The countdown for my swim from Alcatraz to the mainland is underway - this from @DesHoughton’s page in Saturday’s @couriermail It’s been fascinating researching and implementing the best no-BS strategies to achieve fitness & health for the over 50s - becoming stronger for longer!
Great to have completed the 2km Cooly Classic Ocean Swim this morning. Postponed by a month due to rough conditions, there was still a big sweep entering the water at Snapper Rocks and a big drag out over the last 150m exiting at Kirra Beach. The last big swim before winter!
I see I featured on @ABCmediawatch Media Bites last night. As a born & bred Queenslander, I concede I may be a tad biased 😀 But am I wrong about my assessment on @today of Melbourne becoming technically the biggest city in Australia?
Glorious morning in Brissie. And the bonus that the end of daylight saving in the south means I don’t have to be at the Nine tv studios until 6:45am to go on @TheTodayShow with @karlstefanovic
The phrases "shut up" and "don't be an idiot" have been removed from the pages of iconic children's books 'The Famous Five'. Discussing it on @TheTodayShow with host Sarah Abo
Great to have completed my first 2km open water event at the Noosa Summer Swim today - finished in the bottom half of the pack but a good first milestone ahead of the 4.5km swim from Europe to Asia across the Hellespont in August!
Back from holidays and back up the mountain to the Nine Brisbane studios at Mt Coot-tha to join host Sarah Abo & @dai_le on @TheTodayShow
The year-long journey to swim the #hellespont in August continues - successfully completing my first open water race - the #Noosa1000. Completing rather than competing, Robbie & I crossed the finish line together
The journey to attempt to swim the legendary #hellespont in Aug 2023 continues - I’ve been advised to abandon my reliable (and figure forgiving) old bordies for a new pair of DTs! But nothing matches the pair of togs I wore at sport carnivals when I was 7 - woollen with a belt 😀
Mic’ed up and about to join @JasonClareMP and host @karlstefanovic on @TheTodayShow to discuss the big news stories on the day
