The Trump Family IS the swamp
Wow. Financial Times reports that Trump Jr. went on a Mongolian hunting trip with the Russian businessman who financed his wedding party. The trip was in August, three months after the wedding. ft.com/content/f41fc704-c9e6…

I guess I'm old-fashioned, but I think it should be a bigger story that the eldest son of the President of the United States is vacationing with corrupt Russian oligarchs.

What in the holy hell is going on with the GOP?
Can't any of them show any signs of restraint?
(no, they can't)
Justin J Pearson’s republican opponent sent unsolicited dick pics to multiple recipients when he was as old as 53. He admits to it, but calls his behavior “youthful indiscretion” and a “distraction.” nashvillescene.com/news/pith…

Unopposed passing drills do not help you improve as a passer.
Passing with a heavier ball also does not help.
Opposed drills/SSGs with a pass/shoot option can help w/ improving as a passer

The NBA needs to reduce the # of games played
Replying to @Sam_Vecenie
NBA guys are just putting an exceptional amount of stress on their ligaments and joints due to weighing more than ever, while also being asked to play the equivalent of 8-10 more games per year in terms of possessions than they were in the mid-2000s due to pace of play.

Unopposed indy drills aren't helping you and endless reps on bags, sleds and donuts won't transfer to problem solving or decision making on game day.
Why? We need direct perception of the outside world to orient ourselves and coordinate our actions in response to, specifically Tau or the rate at which time gaps or open or close. Using this invariant, unchanging variable we can accurately anticipate time to contact without need for inference or conscious processing.
🔑 Key Learning Points
- Why muscle memory and "drilling the fundamentals" don't make sense in a highly variable, information rich environment.
-The limits of the OODA loop and conscious processing in sport.
-Direct perception: how invariant information means orientation is contained within perception itself.
- What is tau, and how does it relate to action gaps
-Why perception and action MUST be trained together
-Why representative, game-like sensory information and both septh and breadth in training builds robust tacklers
-How action gaps and affordances differ for every athlete, and why “if A, then B” coaching doesn’t reflect reality
-Why direct perception isn't unique to sight and why “feel” (balance, pressure and muscular tension) takes over after the initial collision

The players deserve better leadership
Simply the best
Madison Bumgarner finished his career with a 0.25 World Series ERA and a 0.528 WHIP. Among pitchers with at least 20 World Series innings, nobody has a lower ERA.
Those numbers are almost hard to reconcile with how difficult October baseball is supposed to be. Bumgarner did not just pitch well on the biggest stage.
He practically removed offense from the equation.
