Whenever I see a trade for "a player to be named," I always assume it's just some guy whose parents are very dedicated procrastinators.
Listened to this talk from President Oaks this morning and, welp... I guess I will remove this phrase from my Gospel vocabulary
some of you guys seem to have missed your calling of being a haruspex in ancient Rome
🚨 PRESIDENT OAKS JUST REVEALED SOMETHING IN HIS OFFICE… MORE RECORDS?!
Something remarkable has appeared on President Dallin H. Oaks' social media account, and I think it could have an extraordinary connection to his recent general conference address! 👀📖
President Oaks just shared SEVEN photographs from inside his office.
At first, we see a panoramic view of the room. But something has changed!
A beautiful NEW painting of the resurrected Jesus Christ appearing to the Nephites now hangs prominently behind his desk.
Then something particularly interesting happens.
As we progress through the photographs, the camera moves closer and closer to President Oaks's desk.
Until, in the final photograph, we discover an OPEN BOOK OF MORMON with a very specific passage HIGHLIGHTED! 📖
And when you recognize what that scripture teaches, the connection to President Oaks's October General Conference address becomes particularly fascinating!
Remember what he said just three weeks ago?
President Oaks taught that additional sacred teachings will eventually come forth, including accounts of the resurrected Savior's visit to the LOST TRIBES OF ISRAEL and His revelations to ALL THE SEED OF ABRAHAM!
Think about the implications of that statement!
🌎 He also reminded us of the prophecy that righteousness would come from heaven and truth from the earth, gathering the Lord's elect from the four quarters of the world.
Now he's drawing our attention back to the Book of Mormon!
But that's not all.
🔎 There's another fascinating detail among the objects displayed in President Oaks's office. One appears to depict an important Chinese landmark, raising some intriguing questions about the worldwide gathering of Israel.
And President Oaks's accompanying message concludes with a direct invitation for us to SHARE the Book of Mormon's extraordinary witness of Jesus Christ!
Could he be helping prepare us to receive a greater understanding of the Lord's dealings with His children throughout the world?
Could additional sacred records eventually play an important role in the gathering of Israel?
And why did President Oaks choose to highlight THAT particular scripture?
I've put together a fascinating new Rise Zion episode examining all seven photographs, the scriptural connections, and what President Oaks has actually taught.
🙏 I believe the Restoration is continuing to unfold, and there is so much for us to look forward to!
💬 WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Do you believe President Oaks is deliberately drawing our attention to something important about the future of the Restoration?
Or do you interpret these photographs differently?
I'd genuinely love to hear what you noticed!

okay but Malcolm (not the guy in the photo) is the BBQ GOAT. I've never used a recipe of his that didn't turn out good.

Every now and then I'm reminded that "winning" on this app often looks basically the same as winning on the playground in 2nd grade

this is really striking.
americans aren't losing faith in just *leaders*
they're losing faith in *the people itself*
that is the real threat to the republican form of government.
Nobody is ever as happy about Open Enrollment as the stock photos seem to suggest insurance companies think people are

Yes… major implications for… “search and rescue…”
Purdue University's IDEAS Lab built an autonomous drone that tracks runners through dense forests completely without GPS or cloud networks.
By running 3D LiDAR mapping and obstacle-avoidance AI entirely on-chip, it can weave under tree canopies and predict target movement through blind spots in real time.
Massive implications for next-gen search & rescue and edge AI.
I've wondered this, too, but then I remember this line from Neal A. Maxwell:
"Work is always a spiritual necessity, even if, for some, work is not an economic necessity."
