Ign China is quite blunt with the downfall of western games. As well as calling out western reviewers bias towards the success of Chinese titles such as Black Myth Wu Kong, with its Phantom Blade 0 review.

Reading the replies and quotes to this, it's abundantly clear it's open season for hating on whites all over the world, even in Japan. I will continue to recognize that Japan idealization (often to the point of idolization) by whites impressed with anime, games, and cherrypicked Tokyo tourist photos is tantamount to ethnic cuckoldry.
Yes they're a great ally (after being utterly conquered and brought to heel in a world war), yes their cultural exports and industriousness are admirable, yes their society is a model of high-trust homogeneity, BUT! They are still some of the most insular people on earth who generally seem to view Western culture as a style or plaything to appropriate.

Birth control also mattered, but I don’t think it explains this: guys who turned 18 in 1965 on had sharply worse long-term life outcomes than guys who turned 18 before then; the 1965 Griswold decision only loosened two extremely atypical & largely unenforced state laws (CT & MA) & it doesn’t seem like birth control usage sharply changed in 1965. Likewise we don’t see clear changes in TFR in 1965, but do see extreme increases in *divorce*—far larger than changes in *marriage* around then. What the data seems to me to show is that suddenly women started sharply crowding young men out of higher education (relative to prior trends), & young & single women started suddenly crowding young men out of entry-level jobs, which led male-female income gaps to suddenly shrink among young/single people, which among other things broke family formation. I think that fits the data below *far more directly* than the pill, & you can see its malign effects differently than the pill’s (eg it’s clear to me why this effect would crowd young men out of work & school & increase their later-life deaths-of-despair & increase divorces more immediately than marriages or fertility, but it’s unclear to me why the pill would). So go to the gym, work out half naked and shut the fuck up when you get the male attention you clearly want.

90s movies are fascinating because they still show traditional white America, and still retain a flavor of classic cinema (shot on film, more expressionist style cinematography, etc.), but with modern production values that don't feel dated. 90s movies are special.
