Stephen โStevieโ Burrows is a Bahamian illustrator and digital artist whose bold, expressive work helped launch the visual identity of the Potcake Rescue NFT collection. Born and raised in Nassau, Stevie draws inspiration from the vibrant textures, untamed beauty, and soulful resilience of island lifeโespecially the dogs who roam its streets and shorelines.
As the original creative force behind the collection, Stevie brought the spirit of the Potcake to life through his unique fusion of Caribbean color, character design, and storytelling. His art captures both the grit and the grace of these beloved dogs, each piece a tribute to survival, personality, and island pride.
Stevieโs work bridges traditional Bahamian themes with modern digital expression, making him an ideal partner for a project that lives at the intersection of rescue, culture, and Web3. His contribution not only set the tone for the collectionโit helped establish the heart of the brand.
Today, Stevie continues to create from Nassau, where he remains connected to the community and the island that first inspired his work.

The foundation of our initiative started with a spark a couple of years ago when we fell in love with digital art and how it was being traded on the blockchain. With roots in art, primarily music and photography, we understand the value of art and appreciate how the blockchain offers an ability to both authenticate a digital asset (image, audio, video, text, etc.) and also verify ownership (is this the "original" file or a copy, screenshot, re-recording, etc.).
We've taken this concept and are using it to elevate our BRAND! Potcake Rescue is a brand. We are using our brand to create digital collectibles, shirts, chew toys, collars, and more with our eye on suppliments, beverages, and major brand collaborations.
If you've been following along, you also know we are collaborating with both Bahamian artists and Potcake rescue organizations. Much, much more on that in the future.

Luckily the situation calmed down quick because I had the passp.card. The cashier was still visibly incredulous that I has a passp.card while being from โanother countryโ.
