I’m inclined to believe that fukiko is too stubborn so rei dying was the only way she’d ever change but I feel the show leaves some ambiguity with how she seems to improve a bit right before rei's death which haunts me… what if rei didnt have to die for her to change…

nanafuki at the restaurant is fukiko saying "she said NO TOMATOES" to the waiter with a very scary face and nanarei would be rei going "want me to eat your tomatoes for you"

nanarei version of this is rei is just like "i got this let me order for you dont worry about it" or recommends a random dish and nanako ends up hating whatever rei ordered for her but its ok bc they still had a good time

in a cuter nanafuki mood tonight... imagining them going to a french restaurant and the menu items are actually mostly in french and nanako doesnt know enough french so shes confused and fukiko has to explain it to her (going to assume fukiko knows french like rei)
