lately, so many relationships are ending because one partner is anxiously attached and the other is avoidant.
the anxious partner wants to talk about every problem right away and fix it. the avoidant partner needs space before they can talk it through.
the anxious partner reads the distance as "you don't love me." the avoidant partner reads the intensity as "I'm losing my freedom."
after every argument, the anxious partner needs closeness. the avoidant partner needs distance.
the anxious partner chases to feel secure. the avoidant partner pulls away to protect themselves.
and it goes on and on until one of them can't take it anymore and walks away.
it's not that they didn't love each other. they just weren't ready to understand the pattern and adjust to it.
really sad ngl

I'm no longer searching for love my new goal is to embrace being a sexy avoidant woman instead

“did you guys date?”
no. we just texted every day, spent hours talking, flirted, acted jealous, gave each other mixed signals, got attached, became a part of each other’s routines and then became strangers with memories we can’t even talk about :)
