What you're doing, Premiere Ford, is putting conflict over peace, lawlessness over int'l order, and harm over human rights. I stand w/ @SarahJama_ and any other politician who has the courage to speak up for peace, justice and international law.
We will not be silenced.
As premier, I’m doing what @MaritStiles won’t. I’m calling on Sarah Jama to resign immediately as a member of the Provincial Parliament.

People this is what a government embroiled in a scandal and about to be investigated by the RCMP does—distract, distract, distract. This time on the political back of a Black woman with disabilities who dares to use her constitutional right to free speech and her political mic 🎤

Thank you, MPP @SarahJama_, for raising your voice--the only one among any elected official in Canada--to call for an immediate cease-fire and an end to 75 years of apartheid and occupation. @MaritStiles, we support Sarah, and so should you.

Los pueblos antiguos de #Mexico consideraban que el cielo y la tierra se mantenían separados gracias a los árboles, particularmente las ceibas.
Son árboles de gran altura y en cuyo tronco es normal encontrar espinas.

The Canadian housing crisis didn’t start a couple of decades ago. This is a false claim cited by leading scholars & urbanists. In Canada, the housing crisis was precipitated by the colonization of Indigenous peoples & the values shift from land stewardship to land ownership.

About 10,000 years ago, XAALS came to our people of W̱SÁNEĆ and told us to prepare for a flood. 🌊⛰🌧
30 years ago, an Archaeologist asked if I knew of a flood in our territory back then. I said, "Of course, that is the history of our people"

An update that police left late last night, and people have moved back onto the church site. This does not change the fact that City staff lied to and breached trust with @MaggieHelwig and residents, who have been cooperative with the City.

People residing at the #encampment and who moved peacefully for the arborist inspection are now stranded. @TorontoOEM's John Francisco was explicit that people living at the church could return after the inspection. Where does @cityoftoronto expect them to go?

The City is using underhanded tactics to evict #encampments. Today, residents at St. Stephen's-in-the-Fields' church were removed to address a fallen tree branch, despite verbal assurances they could return after an arborist inspection. Now, police are blocking off church access.
