The Eviction Moratorium Extension passes with 8 ayes. That means it goes into effect immediately and doesn't need to come back for a second reading. Linked to the cessation of the state of emergency by Council vote, however long that may be #oakmtg

The county extended its eviction moratorium, already one of the strictest in the state. Oakland also has new renter protections.
