silver age dc definitely has a lot of slop for children but it’s extremely easy to tell when the creators have a good and creative idea they’re passionate about vs when they’re doing something bc their editor said it’d be a good cover

Been saying this. Are we all losing chess to a dog getting our hopes up over adaptations in a medium with different language and different limits? Maybe comics are enough, and it's everybody else's loss that they don't know how good they can be.
imagine if you could tell stories with dc characters but instead of the high cost and 2 year production time it was just 2-5 people working on 1 movie a month. maybe instead of movies they could be 30 page books with pictures in them so we could understand the jist of the story
