Barkha, a journalist’s job was supposed to find out truth and not repeat the press release from prime minister’s office, let alone the prime minister (who has lied multiple times to the world, and once in a sting operation) of a country that has a record of sabotaging efforts by independent international human rights orgs from fact-finding and investigation missions. That said, a journalist would know that PM’s office is one of the two parties in this international conflict and also that such conflict zones do have several missions by independent human rights organisations who can record and testify to such incidents. But of course any journalist would have known that if this babies beheaded news had any truth to it, first thing the PM office would have done was to invite all such organisations to witness the atrocities firsthand. In any case, you do whatever you’re doing but glad that people now know that whatever you are doing is anything but journalism.

The notion that the Jews are settlers and that Palestinian Arabs are the natives is false. It is a politically motivated revisionism of the demographic history. Both Jews and non-Jews lived in the region forever. The Zionist movement and migration did not create but rather increase the already existing Jewish population. The Palestinian Arabs were not known as "Palestinians" up until the 20th century and are a mix of different populations including the ancient inhabitants of the land, Arabs, Sub-Saharan Africans, etc. People in the region identified themselves by their religions and places of origin, not their genetics or nationalities. Nationality was not really a concept until recent times. So, even calling them Arabs is technically not entirely accurate. People who converted to Islam throughout the centuries came to be known as Muslims, and the Arabization of the land through conquest and migration led to the Arabization of all kinds of different people, which is how the genetically mixed people came to be known as Arabs. Long story short: There is no indigenous population and a replacement or colonization thereof, at least not exclusively on the Jewish side. Both jews and non-Jews existed and they both have the right to live and thrive there. Unfortunately it is one side that has been very much against this throughout the last century and they continue to be against it: The Arab side.
