KA gives the tech industry its land, water, electricity and infrastructure. Why shouldn’t Kannadigas get a fair share of the jobs and opportunities built on their state’s resources? Taking the resources but rejecting reciprocity is exploitation, not openness.
Karnataka accounts for about 7% of India’s engineering colleges and 9% of its engineering graduates.
The tech industry’s representation in the state should broadly reflect this talent pool.
Demanding quotas as high as 50% and 75% sends a clear message - We’re choosing protectionism over openness that made the state a tech powerhouse in the first place.
