I have pest control client who prepaid $56K with Angi in July for 12 months of leads.
We calculated ROAS for him on these leads so far... 0.8x.... oof
He'd never calculated ROAS on any lead source until he started working with me.
LSA/Google ads is around 2-3x ROAS for comparison.
Such a common story, since most business owners don't know how to calculate ROAS or LTV; they just go off "is the phone ringing or not".
I even had clients at $10M/yr+ who barely understand the value of their leads.
Shoutout to @GaelBreton for recommending @impeccable_ai for designing websites with AI (minus the AI-slop patterns).
Been looking for something like this for a while.
Here's your sign... if you're on wordpress time to move to @astrodotbuild and step into 2026 web development.
If you’re not building autonomous self-driving self-improving AI workflows what are you even doing with your life? 🤔
They are so far ahead of the curve.
Today we're repositioning Zernio.
Agents won't just build the product. They'll run how it reaches customers.
That's not a theory but it's already happening.
We started with social integrations.
Now it's ads, WhatsApp, messaging, and calls. Same API.
So we're calling it what it is: marketing infrastructure for products and agents.
Here's a 9 step agentic workflow I created to produce shipable bug-free software reliably... maybe it'll help someone!
1. Voice dictate feature/app via Superwhipser
2. Opus 5.5 fleshes it out into coherent plan
3. Opus 5.5 invokes Astra High to code via cli
4. Astra sends completed code back to Opus for review
5. Opus uses Ponytail and a number of other skills to vet the code for quality
6. Opus sends feedback to Astra
7. Steps 4 - 6 loop until all tests pass
8. Opus does a visual QA of the new feature as a user logging in, etc via Browserbase
9. Opus sends feedback to Astra, and loops again until all tests pass and QA issues are resolved
Steps 3 - 9 are all handled by one command I created "/astra-loop"
Can take 30min - 1hr+ for a loop to complete, depending on the complexity of the feature.
I might have 2-4 loops like this going at a time across multiple projects I am working on.
I also run these loops in the cloud (not terminal) so computer doesnt need to be on for them to work.
I respect the pivot from spamming Reddit to building legitimate citations by working with publishers.
No doubt the Reddit astroturfing business that helped launch this company has been gutted.
Yup! Either clients generate it themselves and feel like balls are being dropped or competitors send them scary alarming reports. Unfortunately for clients it’s hard to them to interpret what they’re looking at and just default to panic mode.
Lately, I’ve been seeing an alarming rise in clients receiving 30+ page "AI Slop" audits generated in seconds with zero critical thinking.
These reports look visually impressive at a distance. They’re full of scary red exclamation marks, polished pie charts, and "URGENT" warnings.
But when you actually open them up, the claims are laughably out of touch:
🚨 "Missing llms.txt file: CRITICAL SEO ISSUE."
🚨 "Missed blocked directory in robots.txt: HIGH RISK."
🚨 "Missing ALT tag on an icon file: CRITICAL ACTION REQUIRED."
Let’s be honest about what’s happening here:
1. Minor noise is being sold as major strategy.
An unoptimized alt tag on a decorative footer graphic isn’t killing your rankings. A missing llms.txt file isn't wiping you off Google.
Turning low-impact, micro-level best practices into "critical site failures" is just a trick to create fake urgency.
2. Quantity is replacing quality.
Clients are being handed 30 pages of generic, auto-generated bullet points instead of 2 pages of actual strategic insight. If an audit doesn't tie its findings directly to revenue, search intent, site architecture, or core technical blockers, it’s not an audit it’s an export script.
3. AI is being used as a substitute for expertise, not a tool.
AI is incredible for efficiency, but using it to pump out generic audit templates without human validation destroys trust in the whole industry.
If your audit reads like it was generated by a bot that has never looked at a search engine result page, throw it away.
What’s the most absurd "Critical SEO Flag" you’ve seen in an automated audit recently?
I love sending these screenshots to my clients.
Push a website rebuild live today.
Moving to my proven template increased his PPC conversion rate by 46% compared to his trailing 5-week Friday average.
This guy runs a small business on razor-thin margins. He spends $30-$40K per month on ads to keep his trucks busy.
He was extremely skeptical and very nervous about doing the overhaul after being burned countless times by agencies.
Needless to say, he's fired up.
This unlock is going to be massive for him and probably change the trajectory of his business for the next 18 months.
Why does this feel like a future Bending Spoons acquisition?
They just raised $96M Series C in February.
Do they really need another $180M?
Excited to share @profound has raised a $180M Series D, co-led by @sequoia and @kleinerperkins.
Winning in AI Search requires an inhuman amount of work. That is why we are building the AI platform for marketers, underpinned by two things:
1/ Your AI Marketer, a marketing expert that proactively investigates your data, identifies opportunities, and then does the work while you stay in the loop.
2/ Context Manager, a living synthesis of your meetings, email threads, and brand data powering this new teammate. As your brand evolves, so does your AI Marketer.
AI labs are pushing the frontier in fields like engineering, law, and finance. But marketing, one of the economy's most complex and consequential applications, has received far less attention.
That’s why we’re expanding our applied AI research team. We’re bringing together research scientists, engineers, and IOI medalists to advance AI for marketing. Their focus: post-training models for marketing workflows, and building the world's first AI benchmark for real-world tasks in the field.
Looking to invest 6 figures+ in youtube video production (editing, thumbnails, strategy, etc) over the next year.
I just want to record raw footage for 4-6 hours on Fridays and hand it off to a team.
Goal is 2 long-form per week (10-15 min) and shorts.
Any recommendations?
