This is also js a really fun development model to work w/ now that Opus & Co can take the busywork out of the actual reverse engineering bits Emulate (most) of the game logic, intercept graphics, just rewrite the bits that don't quite comply w/ the new hardware, QoL tweaks, tada
Still,ab solutely insane how (according to leaked numbers) js a few yrs back Spiderman Remastered cost ~$2.3 mil to port to PC, ~$4.6 mil for the planned SM2 port, even in the 360 era a decent 3rd party port was ~$500k at least & now, w/o any source whatsoever, its <$200. Of course its not a real 'port' but if we were porting a game from a modern console &/or had direct access to the source hooking into static recompilation wouldn't be necessary

What they're getting at is fair obv, gamepass used to include near unlimited cloud streaming, now its a monthly cap w/ usage credits on top But its a sub, can just cancel the sub, they aren't taking away your outright purchased xbox or games, & the stream prices r competitive

like, FSD was said to be done by '16, after mobileye forcefully cut them off, 10yrs later & their perception stack still wasn't done, timelines drawn out by entirely self inflicted struggles & still, despite their insistence against (rapidly depreciating) lidar, proper mapping for years, they have not just largely done it but largely ahead of the others Yes, it certainly helps that GM is an incumbent & preferred to largely shutter cruise, & that the other competitor is Waymo Yes, if you compare to eastern brands, its less favorable, & it could have been a more favorable had they gone w/ common sense But, globally as an L2++ system & locally as an L3 system, it works
Can hate his character all day but there is absolutely no-one on this earth that has the combination of sheer determination & financing ability as Elon Musk Its just constantly completely absurd what his work culture can accomplish while simultaneously satisfying his every (insane) whim Its like this living epitome of the American way, musk is far from the first to take advantage of our absurdly deep & liquid cap markets + run a lean workplace that was every startup at some point, Huang, Zuck, etc. but none have so consistently achieved (in?)organic dominance w/ as consistently terrible fundamentals as Musk. &, somehow, it all works out well in the end

To be clear, if there were an AV company w/ better fundamentals & similar/less complacency than Tesla I would support them instead likely And In the east, thats arguably already the case, but at least for the US, there is no-one but Musk & even in the east, Tesla is able to lightly keep up while the europeans drop like flies

Issue w/ modern Ferrari's is purely that there should never be any room for debate on anything w/ a prancing horse It should look good on a poster, in person, it should have *something* for everyone to enjoy. Its why its a status symbol, can't nitpick a 458 If you have to ask..
Unlike most folks I actually quite like the new 849 Testarossa, I think it harks back to cars like the Ferrari/Pininfarina P4/5 quite well (img 2) Just think its a bit of a shame wasting the name on a refreshed SF90, should've waited till the new generation and had some freedom

Like top gear featured the 458 something like a dozen times over the yrs. Each & every time desperately comparing it to whatever alternative they could find & each and every time they would come back to the studio & universally agree you'd be dump to purchase anything but a 458 They had the 430, GTO, 997 3RS, SLS, R8, 12C, at minimum you should not have to debate that the latest Ferrari isn't the greatest

I've been cooking up retro vibes in XBOX LABS. Tell @asha_shar and I your favorite era!

lol, lmfao
Took a bit time but Tesla also revamped their safety dashboard & are looking to be more transparent on the robotaxi project Despite the delays this far & fundamentals arguably, seems like the worst is past them & they are fairly confident in scaling now Also, peep the waymo lol

Went to sleep to wake up to this, What an absolutely useless operating system, idiotic defaults to think valve even remotely suggests the steam <x> products double as development machines

dude I'm sounding like such a musk shill these past few weeks but they've just been cooking like crazy what a quarter for everyone its not my fault that theres like a handful of competent financial engineers much less ones that don't bog down their companies w/ unnecessary staff
They have since - bundled cursor & co - xmoney w/ 6% apr - grok bot not just exists but can use opus 5.5 under the hood, seems like the new default chat, & propagates across your DMs/web/etc. - haven't broke twitter further It feels like one of the highest value subs I have?

If you already heavily use twitter, & get even slight benefit from the standard features of twitter premium, then premium+ w/ the entry grok tier seems like a pretty good deal Especially if at some point they end up bundling Cursor & co
