This is a perfect example of what I mean by. We had really good writing back in the day. This scene alone tackles many different themes of disappointment, not being good enough, even though you are. If you apply yourself so many different moments. All tackled in a single scene which a lot of modern shows struggle to do

People like this choose peace and avoid fights, not because they’re scared, but because they know their strength and would rather protect their peace than entertain unnecessary drama.

Not seen one solid argument as to why people should inform the MUA that the makeup is for a wedding
sheeda retweeted
I understand that but in this case, she did whatever service her client booked and the client was fine with the result. In this case, she didn’t do touch ups or anything. She did the makeup and left
The reason why there is a markup is because makeup artist use certain products and techniques for brides. The same way TV makeup needs certain techniques to show up on camera correctly. There’s extra step for prep on wedding days. Normally at a makeup appointment you come with your face clean, but on wedding days, the MUA will clean it for you and do your facial and even trim your eyebrows.
Why is this not common sense?

Replying to @AaliyahJay
so then the makeup artist shouldn’t be upset if she didn’t use the certain products & didnt take the extra steps.. she did a basic $200 not a wedding face so the conversation should’ve never been brought to us lol

So a woman booked a full-face makeup appointment for $200 and went to her wedding. Now the makeup artist is upset because she normally charges brides $800 for the SAME makeup.
Since when do we get mad because somebody didn’t pay a wedding markup? The makeup didn’t take any longer just because she was a bride! 😂

So he was racist until Naomi started getting money?
Naomi Osaka's Grandfather Refused to Speak to Her Mother for Years. In 2018, He Wept Watching Naomi on Television
Somewhere in Hokkaido, a 73-year-old man watched his granddaughter on television, and wept.
His name is Tetsuo Osaka. And for years, he had not spoken to his own daughter.
Her name is Tamaki. She grew up in Nemuro, a fishing town at the eastern tip of Hokkaido. Her mother's ancestors fished in the Kuril Islands until the Soviet Union took them over at the end of the Second World War, and the family moved to Nemuro. For high school, Tamaki went to Sapporo. There, in 1990, she met a Haitian-American college student named Leonard François.
They kept the relationship secret for years. When Tamaki's father began pushing the idea of an arranged marriage, she told him about Leonard. He did not approve. He accused her of bringing shame on the family, because Leonard was not Japanese or simply he was Black.
The couple moved far away from Hokkaido, to the city of Osaka. That is where Naomi was born, in October 1997. Her surname, in the end, came from her mother's side.
For a long stretch, Tamaki had little to no contact with her family. Accounts differ on how long. One says about five years. Another says about a decade. A third says twelve years.
Then, slowly, the silence ended.
Naomi's Japanese grandfather had been against the family's plan for her tennis, and the decision to homeschool her. But he came around. Eventually, he became one of her biggest supporters.
When she won the US Open in 2018, he was 73, and he cried. In January 2019, at 74, he smiled at a press conference in Nemuro, the town his daughter had left. In 2021, he told a Japanese newspaper that he would like Naomi to open a tennis school for children in Nemuro. He likened her to an alpinist, always going after higher mountains.
might be stupid but i don’t love how everyone is kekeing with camara and ignoring the elephant in the room: esteban has been kicked out of f1 after 10 years and wasn’t given a proper goodbye from anyone in the sport, his team or his colleagues
It is not 1955.
In real life women like Christine would have zero desire to form or maintain a friendship with women like OP.
You people are fantasizing over rejecting the sort of person who doesn't even think about you. Very lame.
