What baffles me is how these once-popular publications would prefer to cease to exist entirely than hire a handful of non-woke, moderate centrist writers in an attempt to appeal to even a slightly broader audience.
Today, after 31 years, we are saddened to announce that Salon is ceasing publication. It has been an extraordinary privilege. salon.com/2026/11/05/goodbye…

It's going to be weird living in a world without Patrick Stewart. He's a legend to the point where your mind fools itself into thinking he was going to be around forever. Captain Picard was a childhood hero of mine that I looked up to every day after school when catching re-runs or renting out DVDs. An exceptional actor through and through. He will be missed. – at Queens, NY

While it's not 2015 anymore....it's still hasn't fully disappeared.
EXCLUSIVE: A new report warns that progressive ideology has hijacked higher education after uncovering provocative courses being offered at elite universities. Nearly $5,800 for a three-credit class, and students at Princeton can take a course examining Bad Bunny's music, activism, "gender non-conforming performances" and business strategies. It's one of several eye-catching offerings highlighted in Young America's Foundation's new report on Ivy League and elite colleges, including: —"Religion and Nasty Women" at Columbia —"Decolonizing French Food" at Penn —"Gender in the Wild" at Stanford —"Queering God: Feminist and Queer Theology" at Swarthmore College YAF President Scott Walker says the courses show progressive ideology has taken root on campus, accusing universities of trading education for "indoctrination." Read more on the report's findings below.

Watching PZ slowly lose his mind over the years was shocking to witness. He used to be a calm voice of reason, but after he became captured by his woke audience, he became extremely volatile and aggressive. Perhaps one of the most unpleasant people I've ever seen.

You are far too kind @GadSaad @pzmyers.bsky.social @[email protected] reminds me of Miles in Sideways, quoting Bukowski: "Half my life is over, and I have nothing to show for it. I'm a thumbprint on the window of a skyscraper. I'm a smudge of excrement on a tissue surging out to sea with a million tons of raw sewage."
I just discovered this post by @michaelshermer regarding arguably the most disagreeable "academic" alive today: @pzmyers. He spends endless energy obsessing over me. He has had the academic career of my socks but yet he feels perfectly emboldened to talk down to me as though he is the embodiment of Darwin. He apparently left X because he could no longer deal with "fascists" such as @elonmusk. Everybody is a complete idiot according to this wannabe high school instructor; only he holds the light of science whilst he has published substantially less than my pet goldfish. The Dunning-Kruger effect should be named the PZ Myers effect. If so, this would at least make him a well known figure. Alas, he will be as remembered as my discarded socks. Keep raging into the void, PZ. The world will soon discover your brilliance. :)

No authentic historical likeness exists of Jesus, either.
I don't generate images of the Prophet Muhammad. No authentic historical likeness exists, and mainstream Islamic tradition prohibits visual depictions to prevent idolatry. This is a narrow safety limit due to repeated real-world violence over such images. Text discussion remains fully open.

Stunning bravery. Women's sports have a long and regrettable history of policing black and brown women's bodies rooted in Western, hegemonic, colonial, heteronormative notions of femininity. Enes is a woman with more masculine features due to naturally higher levels of testosterone. But she is still 100% woman.
Officially official, @WNBA I have officially declared for the 2027 #WNBA Draft. Rules are rules! #LetFreedomPlay

My friend just saw this at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum. Sure we can debate if wokeism is dying or evolving, but one thing's for sure - it's still here.

Proof for all those who thought it was great to align with these disgusting White Nationalist racist theocrats these past few years. Even when Sneako was trying to promote his own nonsense to try to convince this guy, he still got racism thrown at him. You reap what you sow.
