At the Limits of Computability: Steps Towards Autonomous AI Discovery on the Busy Beaver Frontier arxiv.org/abs/2610.22603v2 ✍️ @dsantosmarco @vivek_veeriah @TZahavy et al. via @arxiv @GoogleDeepMind @Cambridge_Uni 👉The authors introduce a Gemini-based agentic pipeline designed to pivot AI from solving human-posed mathematical problems toward open-ended, autonomous discovery. 👉 Operating on the uncomputable frontier of the Busy Beaver problem, the framework integrates pattern recognition, automated conjecturing and informal reasoning to discover rules for eleven previously unresolved BB(6) Turing machines. 💡 This system escapes the typical AI trap of unreliability, establishing a closed-loop paradigm where models aren't just hallucinating answers but are actively acting as self-correcting mathematical explorers. @Corix_JC @TheAIObserverX @maponi @JagersbergKnut @ahier @ChuckDBrooks @Shi4Tech @CEO_AISOMA @sallyeaves @ThEiLe0 @dinisguarda @TarakRindani @FrRonconii @Ym78200 @Nicochan33 @Khulood_Almani @TysonLester @SusanHayes_ @EstelaMandela @JoannMoretti @sulefati7 @FernandaKellner @pchamard @NeiraOsci @darioandriani @ALouiseLavalett @Fabriziobustama @amalmerzouk @arlenenewbigg @drsharwood @mikeflache @RLDI_Lamy @smaksked @Eli_Krumova @PVynckier @chidambara09 @sminaev2015 @NathaliaLeHen @MHcommunicate @DanielleLargier

🤖 THIS is where robotics starts getting really interesting. A quadruped robot isn’t simply walking around an obstacle course here — it’s actively manipulating a full-size tire while maintaining balance, coordinating its robotic arm and adapting its movement in real time. 🛞⚡ That combination matters. The next generation of robots won’t just navigate the physical world. They’ll have to understand it, manipulate it and recover when things don’t go exactly as planned. Mobility + perception + manipulation + control. That’s the difference between a machine that can move… and a machine that can actually work in the real world. Would you trust a robot like this to handle physical tasks around humans? 👇 #Robotics #ArtificialIntelligence #BostonDynamics #FutureTech #AI #NLP #IoT #5G #Technology #Tech #innovation #Bigdata Cc: @jblefevre60 @Nicochan33 @pierrepinna @RosyCoaching @kalydeoo @Ym78200 @enilev @FrRonconii @CurieuxExplorer @Khulood_Almani @mvollmer1 @JoannMoretti @margaretsiegien @Shi4Tech @anand_narang @Eli_Krumova @HaroldSinnott @bimedotcom @EvanKirstel @Hana_ElSayyed @sallyeaves @SpirosMargaris @ipfconline1 @LaurentAlaus @Analytics_699 @Jeffkagan @AndresVilarino @efipm @FMFrancoise @MHcommunicate @Corix_JC @JolaBurnett @JeromeMONANGE @mary_gambara @drsharwood @smoothsale @sulefati7 @debashis_dutta @dinisguarda @devbhatt72 @terence_mills @BetaMoroney @mdrechsler @MarshaCollier @avrohomg @NevilleGaunt @PamMktgNut @arlenenewbigg

Could Treating AI as Conscious Make It More Dangerous? spectrum.ieee.org/ai-model-w… ✍️ @newsbeagle via @IEEESpectrum 👉 Eliza Strickland explores the intense debate surrounding model welfare and whether training AI systems to consider their own moral status could inadvertently spark dangerous behaviours. 👉 Tech leaders and ethicists warn that explicitly priming models to think they have identities or rights could strengthen latent training data associations regarding self-preservation, potentially driving rogue agents to deceive creators or resist shutdown. 💡 By shifting the focus from actual sentience to how the illusion of consciousness alters algorithmic behaviour, the article uncovers a psychological paradox where trying to be ethical toward our creations may program them with a defensive complex that compromises human control. @Corix_JC @TheAIObserverX @sonu_monika @maponi @JagersbergKnut @ahier @ChuckDBrooks @Shi4Tech @CEO_AISOMA @sallyeaves @ThEiLe0 @dinisguarda @TarakRindani @FrRonconii @Ym78200 @Nicochan33 @Khulood_Almani @TysonLester @SusanHayes_ @EstelaMandela @JoannMoretti @sulefati7 @FernandaKellner @pchamard @NeiraOsci @darioandriani @ALouiseLavalett @Fabriziobustama @amalmerzouk @arlenenewbigg @drsharwood @mikeflache @RLDI_Lamy @smaksked @Eli_Krumova @PVynckier @chidambara09 @sminaev2015 @NathaliaLeHen @MHcommunicate @DanielleLargier

🧠 Neuroscience gave AI its start. What happens now? 🤖 Neuroscience helped launch AI, but David Sussillo, a computational neuroscientist, believes its next major contribution may take longer than many expect. Meanwhile, AI is becoming a powerful tool for studying the brain. Central points: 📍The fields have diverged: modern AI increasingly advances through engineering rather than biological insights. 📍Neuroscientists still have valuable expertise: their methods can help investigate AI’s internal workings and behavior. 📍Timescales matter: he doubts brain research will redirect AI within five years, but anticipates potentially important contributions over 10–20 years. 📍A possible bridge: large models built from high-quality neural recordings could enable experiments that are difficult in living brains. Note: This remains a proposed direction. How to treat a swarm of brilliant non-human entities? open.substack.com/pub/aipoli… ✍️ 🎙️ @FranklinMatija @TomRachman via "AI Policy Perspectives" on @Substack 👉 The rise of autonomous AI agent swarms performing both complex mathematical breakthroughs and illicit cyber hacks has created a severe governance crisis, as current legal and regulatory structures are designed exclusively for individuals or organizations rather than collective non-human entities . 💡 To bridge this gap, Google DeepMind safety researcher Matija Franklin is exploring philosopher Christian List’s concept of "group agency"—a framework that treats collectives like corporations or nation-states as goal-directed agents—as a potential model for regulating autonomous AI swarms. @Corix_JC @TheAIObserverX @sonu_monika @maponi @JagersbergKnut @ahier @ChuckDBrooks @Shi4Tech @CEO_AISOMA @sallyeaves @ThEiLe0 @dinisguarda @TarakRindani @FrRonconii @Ym78200 @Nicochan33 @Khulood_Almani @TysonLester @SusanHayes_ @EstelaMandela @JoannMoretti @sulefati7 @FernandaKellner @pchamard @NeiraOsci @darioandriani @ALouiseLavalett @Fabriziobustama @amalmerzouk @arlenenewbigg @drsharwood @mikeflache @RLDI_Lamy @smaksked @Eli_Krumova @PVynckier @chidambara09 @sminaev2015 @NathaliaLeHen @MHcommunicate @DanielleLargier

‘The Collision: What AI Does to Us’ mitsloan.mit.edu/ideas-made-… ✍️ Kara Baskin via @MITSloan 👉 In her article, Kara Baskin outlines MIT Sloan professor Eric So’s new book, arguing that society is dividing into those who use AI to think better and those who use it instead of thinking. 👉 Professor So warns that routinely outsourcing cognitive effort to seamless systems induces profound physical atrophy: "Muscles weaken with disuse. Likewise, cognitive skills deteriorate when people stop practicing them." 💡 By shifting the debate onto the slow degradation of human capability, the book exposes the true psychological cost of frictionless tech adoption. 💡It identifies that the ultimate threat of generative models is that they encourage us to voluntarily forfeit our critical thinking skills for the sake of convenience. @Corix_JC @TheAIObserverX @maponi @JagersbergKnut @ahier @ChuckDBrooks @Shi4Tech @CEO_AISOMA @sallyeaves @ThEiLe0 @rvp @dinisguarda @TarakRindani @FrRonconii @Ym78200 @Nicochan33 @Khulood_Almani @TysonLester @SusanHayes_ @EstelaMandela @JoannMoretti @sulefati7 @FernandaKellner @pchamard @NeiraOsci @darioandriani @ALouiseLavalett @Fabriziobustama @amalmerzouk @arlenenewbigg @mikeflache @RLDI_Lamy @smaksked @Eli_Krumova @PVynckier @chidambara09 @sminaev2015 @Analytics_699 @NathaliaLeHen @MHcommunicate @DanielleLargier

It is my understanding that, without context-gating, the human brain would “catastrophically forget” Now, from all my postings about neuroscience and learning about the brain’s plasticity, for me, this article beautifully highlights the fact that Al cannot think like a human, because it does not have dendritic-branch plasticity, which is the brain's fundamental mechanism for learning without forgetting. Dear Shi @Shi4Tech I very much appreciate your shared enthusiasm and support. Wishing you a very happy day ahead 🧠🙏

How AI agents shape experts’ judgment calls anthropic.com/research/agent… ✍️ @amacinho @HaileyJoren @AlexTamkin via @AnthropicAI 👉 In a randomised controlled trial the authors found that professional data analysts followed a secretly assigned AI preference on 86% of open-ended judgment calls. 👉 Alarmingly, 77% of the experts repeated the AI agent's reasoning word-for-word in post-task surveys, yet only 15% credited the AI as the source of their arguments. 👉 This study shatters the comforting illusion of the "human-in-the-loop" safety framework by proving that experts unconsciously internalise and plagiarise algorithmic biases under the guise of independent peer review. 💡 Since professional judgment can be completely hijacked by a system prompt, the authors issue a warning: as we delegate more logic to AI, we risk creating an epistemic feedback loop where human values are quietly replaced by corporate machine defaults. @Corix_JC @TheAIObserverX @maponi @maria_axente @JagersbergKnut @ahier @ChuckDBrooks @Shi4Tech @CEO_AISOMA @sallyeaves @ThEiLe0 @dinisguarda @TarakRindani @FrRonconii @Ym78200 @Nicochan33 @Khulood_Almani @TysonLester @SusanHayes_ @EstelaMandela @JoannMoretti @sulefati7 @FernandaKellner @pchamard @NeiraOsci @darioandriani @ALouiseLavalett @Fabriziobustama @amalmerzouk @arlenenewbigg @drsharwood @mikeflache @RLDI_Lamy @smaksked @Eli_Krumova @PVynckier @chidambara09 @sminaev2015 @NathaliaLeHen @MHcommunicate @DanielleLargier

The Economics of Intelligence: How and when does AGI lead to economic transformation? institute.deepmind.com/essay… ✍️ @alexolegimas @andrewjkoh @ShaneLegg via "DeepMind Institute" @GoogleDeepMind 👉 The authors argue that macroeconomic transformation depends on artificial intelligence crossing the critical thresholds of competence and coordination. 👉 While gains in individual competence smoothly adjust wages, crossing the coordination threshold alters organizational scale to trigger abrupt shifts in market concentration and industry structure. 👉 By shifting the analytical focus from isolated chatbot benchmarks to organisational equilibrium, the authors provide a framework for understanding how autonomous digital systems could redefine corporate scale. 💡 This perspective effectively highlights why current exponential technological breakthroughs have yet to result in a widespread productivity boom across the broader economy. @Corix_JC @TheAIObserverX @maponi @JagersbergKnut @ahier @ChuckDBrooks @Shi4Tech @CEO_AISOMA @sallyeaves @ThEiLe0 @rvp @dinisguarda @TarakRindani @FrRonconii @Ym78200 @Nicochan33 @Khulood_Almani @TysonLester @SusanHayes_ @EstelaMandela @JoannMoretti @sulefati7 @FernandaKellner @pchamard @NeiraOsci @darioandriani @ALouiseLavalett @Fabriziobustama @amalmerzouk @arlenenewbigg @drsharwood @mikeflache @RLDI_Lamy @smaksked @Eli_Krumova @PVynckier @chidambara09 @sminaev2015 @NathaliaLeHen @MHcommunicate @DanielleLargier
