D-Wave’s latest research brings programmable quantum simulation into three dimensions, an important capability for studying real materials. In a recent preprint, our researchers and collaborators used up to 728 qubits on an Advantage2 annealing quantum computer to realize topological insulators in one, two and three dimensions. To our knowledge, these are the first programmable quantum dynamics experiments of this kind in three dimensions. By combining analog-digital controls with hundreds of qubits, our team is developing powerful new tools for investigating quantum materials. $QBTS #quantumcomputing

Through our partnership with the National Quantum Office, our local R&D and Operations Centre, and our upcoming Singapore deployment of Helios—the world’s most accurate quantum computer—we’re connecting local researchers and businesses with the advanced capabilities and expertise needed to put quantum to work.
At SWITCH, our CEO Dr. Rajeeb Hazra will join a main stage panel on Oct. 27 to explore what this all means for enterprises in Singapore. What will it take for the U.S. to lead in quantum computing?
Infleqtion CEO Matt Kinsella spoke with The Diplomat’s Mercy Kuo about the competition with China and the work that will determine leadership: building reliable quantum systems, manufacturing them at scale, and putting them to use.
America’s allies have a significant role to play.
“Our alliances are not simply diplomatic relationships; they are a practical technology advantage,” Matt says.
For Infleqtion, those partnerships include contributing neutral-atom technology to Japan’s Quantum Moonshot program, delivering a quantum computer to the UK’s National Quantum Computing Centre, and collaborating with Australian partners on trustworthy quantum computation.
