[Special Event to Obtain Abilities Exclusive to Additional Characters] As previously announced, we will be holding a special event where you can obtain abilities exclusive to new additional characters, coinciding with the introduction of Firion and Balthier. During the event, “Sealed Crystals (Firion / Balthier)” will appear as battle rewards. These special Sealed Crystals have a chance to drop randomly as victory rewards in both Ranked Battles and Casual Battles. As their name suggests, each crystal guarantees the acquisition of their newely added abilities. In addition, missions will also be available as a guaranteed way to obtain Sealed Crystals (Firion / Balthier). Casual Battles were implemented so players can enjoy a wide variety of playstyles, such as practicing characters, without worrying about rank changes. So we hope you’ll feel free to jump in and enjoy them! We will continue listening closely to player feedback and work to make improvements wherever possible. [Preparations for the Next Event Underway] We are currently working on an event that will award character abilities for　newly added characters. We plan to launch the event when the previously announced characters “Firion” and “Balthier” join the fray. During the event period, special crystals will be awarded at a fixed rate in battle rewards for season ranked battles and casual battles. These crystals will feature SR or greater character abilities for the newly added characters, and they will also be available in missions. We considered adding these crystals to challenges as well, but because players can check the rewards and immediately quit—negatively impacting the game experience—we decided against it. We have received many comments from players through social media and the in-game feedback system expressing that character-specific abilities are difficult to obtain. While there are limitations to what we can do, we will do our best to reflect the wishes of players wherever possible. Additionally, to avoid any sense of unfairness, we are planning to hold similar events in the future for characters that have already been released, such as Onion Knight and Iroha.
