This summer, four PhD researchers joined Sigma AI Labs and built systems that learn from experience. For Sigma customers, that means an assistant that grows more fluent in their business over time and takes on harder reasoning tasks while getting faster and cheaper.
I’m proud of what this group accomplished in a single summer, and grateful to William Sun, Howard Prioleau, Alina Gorbunova, and Leon Tran for an incredible few months 🎉.

If you’re a PhD student who finds this work exciting, we’re hiring summer 2027 interns in San Francisco and New York.
Calling all PhD students: Sigma AI Labs is hiring summer 2027 interns in SF and NYC.
This summer’s cohort worked on problems at the center of our research agenda, including agents that learn across tasks, language models that produce calibrated predictions, and deep research over enterprise data. Their collective contributions have helped shape the future of AI at Sigma.

An app you vibe code with your favorite LLM works fine for 10 people. Share it with 20,000 and it turns into the data version of the Fyre Festival.
Before it can scale, it needs:
• A security review before it touches customer data
• Permissions that follow each user, so data never reaches the wrong people
• Writeback with a record of who changed what
• Admin visibility into who’s building what, on which data
• Cost controls, so teams stop paying for the same answer twice

More than 200 of you joined us at Sigma Live NYC to see where we're headed, and to build hands-on with what’s live today.
We showed how fast the distance between an idea and a working application has collapsed — now all that's needed is a prompt and a few minutes, with governance intact from the start. Sigma Agents are GA, with thousands of agents already built and running in production. Sigma Tables, currently in private beta, are giving teams one shared source of truth instead of scattered copies across workbooks.
And we gave a look at what’s next: agents that run anywhere, knowledge graphs that makes every answer smarter, deeper monitoring tools for admins, and more advanced app-generating capabilities.
Thank you for spending the day with us, and for building with Sigma.
Account statements, inventory reports, and compensation letters are some of the largest reporting jobs in any enterprise, and most still run on report servers built for on-premises data.
Sigma now gives those workloads a path to the cloud. Report bursting in Sigma reaches up to 20,000 dynamic recipients from 1 schedule, with each export queried live from the warehouse and limited to the recipient’s own rows. Sigma is the only vendor offering cloud-based bursting at this scale with no extra code.

📊 Turn your Sigma Public workbook into a trip to Napa Valley 🍷
We’re sending one builder and a guest to Napa for 4 nights at a 4-star hotel, with round-trip flights, a winery tour, and a curated @Wine_com box.
How it works: Post a workbook you authored on LinkedIn, Reddit, or X with a link to it and #SigmaGiveaway, then log the share in Sigma Public. Each workbook you share on each social platform earns you an entry.
Here's to fine data, crafted to perfection 🥂

Sigma agents can now answer wherever your users work: in Claude, in your own apps, and in scheduled jobs.

Sigma is a launch partner for Claude Dashboards, now available in beta from @AnthropicAI.
Design a dashboard in Claude using natural language, then send it to Sigma to turn it into a governed workbook. From there, extend it into an app with forms, Input Tables, controls, and agents, all running on live warehouse data with your team’s permissions in place.
Start in Claude, finish in Sigma: sigmacomputing.com/blog/clau…
Old way: Spend hours digging through spreadsheets to catch inventory problems.
New way: A Sigma agent surfaces the risks, recommends the fix, and sends it to the right people. Cancel, reorder, or move inventory in one click, written straight back to your ERP.
Go from prompt to a dashboard in minutes, on live warehouse data with your permissions already applied. 📊
Sigma Assistant build mode creates all necessary Sigma elements such as charts, filters, pivot tables, conditional formatting, and input tables from simple prompts, so you spend less time organizing your data for analysis and more time acting on it.

Sigma Agents is now generally available. For me, this launch is also a story about the engineering culture at Sigma.
Sigma Agents started with a quick prototype called “chat element”: a way to chat with the data in your workbook and take actions.
The prototype generated so much excitement internally that we started sharing it with customers early. Their feedback helped shape it through private beta, public beta, and now GA. Since the public beta launch, Sigma Agents was used by 1000+ organizations to build 6,000+ agents that powered 500,000+ conversations.
The product today goes far beyond that first prototype. Many people have put tremendous work into expanding what it can do and making it ready for enterprise use. But the essence of that original idea lives on.
Giving engineers the space to imagine what we should build—and the support to bring it to customers—is one of the things I’m most proud of about Sigma’s culture.
Congratulations to everyone who helped bring Sigma Agents to GA.

NEW: Sigma Agents are now GA.
With this release, an agent you build in Sigma can run wherever the work happens.
Run one from Claude or ChatGPT, connect API and MCP tools to execute external actions, embed it in a workbook, or set it on a schedule — all under the pre-existing permissions a user already has.
This release also makes Sigma Agents easier to use and manage across your entire organization:
• Users can review past conversations and pick up where they left off with chat history.
• Admins get a unified view of every Sigma Agent, including token usage, accessed data, and ownership details.
