Me: "You see, tree, I have it hard, but at least you're listening to me." The Tree-Mind, silent, slow, inevitable: "Your flesh concerns bend no wood of mine, they tangle no branch. Your life will last but a few of my circles. Your greatest deed will be feeding my roots."
Women were asked to choose between being alone with a bear or with a man in the woods. Now I ask men the following question.

This kind of smart, walkable, mixed-use urbanism Is illegal to build in most American cities.

As an adult with lots of disposable income and multiple social media accounts, while I do agree wholeheartedly with the need for this kind of spaces, I feel like it's kind of disingenuous to pretend these things aren't *also* kind of addictive.

Banning stuff is hardly the solution (especially if alternatives aren't offered), but when multi-billion megacorps have teams of social scientists optimizing AIs to keep people hooked on their websites, I feel like "just will yourself away from it" doesn't necessarily cut it.

So here's the kicker. Beauty contexts between goddesses are *not* a wise thing to start. There is precedent. And this whole Discourse is obviously very sus. Why are people so heated up? Why so much fighting? Who's been spreading discord? I think we all know from last time.
Knowing greek myths i don't think you should be holding this aphrodite debate-

"average Jump protagonist is 1000 years old" factoid actualy just statistical error. average Jump protagonist is 16 years old. Undead Andy, who lives on Sun & has existed since before the Big Bang, is an outlier adn should not have been counted

In Italy, Dragon Ball Z aired around lunch time, before The Simpsons. I started by watching the Simpsons, but now and then, changing channels, I'd get glimpses of the last few minutes of DBZ (was going through the Cell saga at the time).
In honor of Toriyama's memory, I wanna hear how y'all got introduced to his work, and what was your favorite memory of that work

And of course, I still *do* write Dragon Ball fanfiction, actually! "The Optimized Wish Project" is now over 400k words long, longer than many novels, and by far the longest and most complex thing I've ever written in my life.

So there is absolutely no question that Dragon Ball has in fact changed my life and influenced it in major ways. It made me discover manga and anime, it taught me to draw, and it pushed me to write. It's been with me for over 20 years now, over half of my life influenced by it.

Risk is probability times consequences. Tailgating and drinking increase PROBABILITY. Speed and vehicle size increase CONSEQUENCES.

(and also yeah, large trucks also increase probability by being harder to control, having less visual field, etc etc)

No, you don't understand. I've seen this film like 100+ times. The "there are children aboard" + Mirage's face + Bob screaming "No!" still gives me chills every time. The Incredibles remains Disney Pixar's best film.
