Yesterday we had a great discussion at the @oenb about the principle of #competition and the challenges we face in these turbulent times. It was a great day. Thank you @WIFOat and #Bundeswettbewerbsbehörde for the invitation. This is my a long thread of my presentation.

A couple of thoughts to reviewers if you want to be helpful to the AE (particularly if it's me). 1. Be less negative (even if you say reject). If we took the average reviewer's advice, 99% of papers would go directly into an incinerator against a backdrop of evil laughter. 1/4

Hey #EconTwitter – especially @econ_ra! I am currently building econra.org - a platform where RA opportunities in economics can be found or posted with minimal effort (and most likely no cost at all). 1/2

Dear @mimit_gov, may I kindly ask why access to mimit.gov.it seems to be blocked for *all* IP addresses outside of Italy? Surely your content could also be of interest for people outside of Italy?

Back from two days at #CEPR_IO_Cam. Props to the organisers @CGenakos, @myrto_kaloup and @TomValletti for a great conference. Some of the strongest papers by some of the youngest presenters. A few personal highlights: 1/

Q-learning algorithms often cooperate when the rewards are sufficiently high and always defect when they are not. Interestingly, Q-learners cooperate with quite different strategies than humans. How do I know that? New research joint with @simonmartinecon @hans_normann @_ToFeWe

Interesting stuff, curious to see what comes out of it in the end.
#EconTwitter: we need your help. We're doing a research project on online ratings. We're interested in how people interpret them. For this, we have set up a very short survey, which we are currently piloting (just to make sure it all makes sense). 1/4
