Peter and Rich each had $2,500.
Peter bought Bitcoin and held it
Rich bought an S19 miner and ran it on 7 cent power, selling a little of what it mined to cover the electric bill.
Rich sells the machine at year 2: 75% more Bitcoin than Peter.
Rich keeps mining to year 4: 25% more.
Two extra years of mining cost him Bitcoin.
Mine vs buy comes down to two levers you control:
what you pay for the machine and what you pay for power.
The full math is in our free guide, Mine vs Buy Bitcoin: The 2027 Math, with a prompt that runs it on your own numbers.

Gold is 5,000 years old and people still ask if they're too late.

You pay for every dollar printed.
The government can always print more money.
But there’s no free lunch.
This is why we Bitcoin.
At today’s network hashrate, a 34 TH/s miner mining solo would find a block about once every 540 years (on average).
The hot water is real, though.
A hosted S21j XP Hydro brings nearly 15x the hashrate, pointed at a pool, so the kyc-free sats show up every day.
Here’s how to decide which one fits you:

Bitcoin has a hidden message that can never be deleted.
Bitcoin block 666,666 was mined on January 18, 2021.
It contains a message permanently written into the blockchain.
Using Bitcoin’s OP_RETURN, the miner embedded a Bible verse directly into the block data:
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
To make it happen, they paid more than 5x the normal fee to guarantee inclusion in that exact block.
The transaction is linked to wallets named “GoD” and “BibLE”, and you can verify it on any public block explorer.
Once it’s there, it can’t be removed.
Power costs can cut your Bitcoin mining profits in half.
The same Bitcoin miner can cost you $350/month to run, or only $175 to $200.
Take a 3.5 kW Antminer S21 Pro, for example. It uses 2,500 kWh per month.
At the U.S. commercial average of $0.14/kWh (EIA, 2026), that's about $350.
At our all-in hosting rate of $0.07 to $0.08/kWh, it drops to $175 to $200.
Stop overpaying for power.
