The amount of money the @ukhomeoffice has taken from my family to renew my wife's #UKVisa is eye-watering. Families like mine are victims of a system that's fleecing ordinary people of money at a time when diesel is £2 a litre and the cost of living is paralysing families
I guess some would say we're lucky. My kids and I are British nationals. Some families are having to pay the value of a very nice used car to have the privilege of living here. These costs don't reflect the cost of the application process. Rather they are punitive.
Add this to the fact that the guy in @10DowningStreet didn't know, in 2020, that families in my situation have no access to public funds, and it becomes clear that the system is impoverishing families, taking their hard earned cash, but denying them support if they need it!
