Here’s my take on code reviews: it’s become less about checking code correctness and more about detecting drift. At the very least you have to read the summary of the changes. Some obscure decisions you made mindlessly 3 weeks ago could still be in memory and being enforced.
This is very good advise. Newcomers have a lot to offer in terms of fresh ideas and perspectives.
The coding interview is dead, at least for my team at Anthropic. I've seen enough to know that it no longer provides signal. I removed it from loops this month.
